- Parts of Europe are currently experiencing severe drought, after record low levels of winter rainfall.
France has seen no significant rainfall for more than a month - its longest dry spell on record.
Large parts of Western Europe are currently affected, with weather experts saying that the conditions are putting vegetation and plants “under stress”.
Last year was France's hottest year on record, according to national weather agency Météo-France.
Now, the country is in a state of alert, with the next few months set to prove decisive.

This interview with Bill Rich was painful to watch. The presenter asked him what was the cause for the drought and he replied 'lack of rainfall'. We'd all worked that one out Bill!! Why was he pussyfooting around giving real and clear reasons? He just kept repeating himself and it seems to me that he went into that interview without doing any preparation whatsoever and thought he could wing it.
Is atmospheric water harvesting responsible for this drought? Removing water from air through nets or machine can change the atmosphere.
He said the same thing five times.
A book called "Opportunity in Disguise" taught me that we must learn to squeeze lemons in tragic situations. In terms of renewable energies, in periods of drought we have high availability of solar radiation. Because there is no cloud formation.
Idea: how about installing solar panels that feed pumps from artesian wells, even though these are spread across different points of the watershed? The water could be directed to the watercourses in the dry season. In the rainy season, clouds will themselves reduce the efficiency of the pumps. Or even, they can be turned off with the return of the rains.
Social engineering propaganda. Besides water is not needed in Europe with the attack on farming.
