Rockhound RC: Axial SCX6 Jeep Renegade.

Here is my Axial SCX6 Jeep Renegade on it's first drive after I rebuilt the front and rear axles and added a few mods. It performed a lot better but I was a little disappointed with the front skid plate. Even though the are pretty thick and felt durable, the front one did bend down after hanging on a rock which made it challenging. I was able to remove it and straighten it after the drive and also bent it in a little further than it was to make it hug the Diff cover tighter. Dude ....... had the very same problem with the diff guards ! Stainless steel folded like a paper airplane. ...... went with diff Covers instead , guards ended up becoming plows...... drive on !!

They felt very sturdy, but with the truck being so heavy and powerful, they didn't stand a chance. I'm thinking about getting portal axles to give it a little more ground clearance for the diffs.
