Monets super power would be controlling sound vibrations through singing and Bobs super power would be mass gaslighting mind control.
NOT MASS GASLIGHTING MIND CONTROL LMAOO 😭
So a politician?
Y’all don’t understand the sheer length of scream laughter when they talked about RuPaul playing Storm / Professor X.
bob's face at "michael b jordan" "pass" 😂😂 needs to be a meme
Bob's Allysa Edwards impression was perfection.
I was screaming!
Alyssa freaking out about polyamory is so funny😂
Book parts of the libraries are so important. My family is old school and did not approve of/ couldn't afford screens for kids, but i could read novels all day. I was so misunderstood and lonely, books were all i had. Also my parents approved of me going to the library, so i went to get out of the house and away from them. Libraries were my refuge. 🥺 This is a rare instance Bob is completely wrong lmao
get a library then 😮💨
I was so worried when Monet came for Batman, but Bob dropped the “best villains” and literally no one can argue that.
monet talking about 'no letting go' by wayne wonder took me back-- it was definitely a new york thing and they would always play it at our middle school dances!!
Wuuuuuuuuuuuut.....? Against physical books? One of the original forms of documenting history??? What in the Bob Farenheit 451???!
the original Bob hates libraries clip made it into the best of Bob 2021 compilation and the title card when it comes on is that meme of that little girl looking over her shoulder while the house is on fire, you know the one 💀💀, just it's Bob's face with the biggest smile and it's a library on fire instead
Bob being blatantly wrong so many times this episode was such a gag. He's almost never wrong
there's no way you genuinely thing bob is almost never wrong lmao she's wrong all the time
@Mourning Dove - he’s wrong occasionally but not ALL THE TIME 😭 calm down mary
@@ecko3783 another Monet stan up in here
Lol I used to think that, but he’s actually wrong a surprising amount of times. He just speaks with a lot of conviction
@@ecko3783 both bob and monet wrong all the time that's the beauty of it, do you watch the show tamar? bob just be tricking yall into thinking she's right cause of her confidence but she is truly wrong A LOT
...its the random singing of be prepared by scar For me lmao..I love y'all..ahahah 😂👏
I think Blade with Wesley Snipes is what really solidified for film studios that comic books could sustain movie franchises with large profits
Not Bob being convinced Chris Colombus directed Batman Forever and Jacob fully saying Joel "Shoemaker" did 😂
Not Bob gaslighting Monet at 38:38 🤣
I want a FULL System of a Down report from Monet next week!
I saw them when I was in grade 9. Truly iconic times
@@X._.COCO._.X I saw them in Phoenix with Metallica, Kid Rock, and Korn , 2002!! They were incredible!
Bob X System of a Down is the crossover I never knew I needed. Dope.
Ok, true tea ☕️,as a kid I had no escape from my home life and my reality except in a 📚 library. I would look at the stacks of books and see possibilities, not just to escape but, to be lifted out of ignorance. And that it’s the point of a library, to democratize knowledge, it makes books available to every man and woman regardless of class or race. As quickly as you can download a book it can be lost or erased, real books are permanent, many old books lost to history have been found and reissued like the famous case of the one by Madam C.J. Walker.
As someone who benefited from a library and held those books in my hand, books and libraries are important. A librarian was the first adult to show an interest in what I might like and opened up a whole world of books to me. Librarians love books and love to spread the love of books and knowledge as well as are fierce defenders of freedom of speech.
I’m sorry Bob, your take is funny but, wrong. These things weren’t just given to us they are an ongoing struggle, where librarians defy what they believe to be unjust or wrong. This is a bad stance and encourages others to say things like that without knowing the reason for it history of libraries.
Also, I hate reading from a kindle, it’s hard on my eyes and I don’t want to own every book I read.
Work!!!!
I spent my teens years in a small country town & our local library & my school library were my favourite places. I was safe there, thanks to the amazing staff and I found so much of myself & the things that would get me through life in those libraries.
monets superhero name is Lady Backtrack- she has the ability to time travel back 1 minute to change anything she said
Me being Guyanese 🤪 i love my west Indian/ indo Caribbean. Monet and Priyanka make me so proud
stories about alyssa edwards always make me so happy
Because gorl! What do you think is going on in this house on this day!?…. Now why would you say that?
Not everyone can afford various types of entertainment. For those with imagination and low funds, libraries provide books, videos, free movie screenings, storytelling, etc. There are art showings and more. A great institution for all.
bob needs to leave libraries alone 😭😭😭😭
the original Bob hates libraries clip made it into the best of Bob 2021 compilation and the title card when it comes on is that meme of that little girl looking over her shoulder while the house is on fire, you know the one 💀💀, just it's Bob's face with the biggest smile and it's a library on fire instead
The reggae song Monet is singing at the begging is no letting go by Wayne wonder. Good song.
That came out my soohmore year... i used to blast going down 'the strip' at our local beach
My ass RUNNING to this video like I didn’t listen to the whole episode on Spotify last night…
Saw Celine in concert in 2019 and River Deep, Mountain High gave me LIFE ... unreal
libraries do rent out things like tablets you can rent go pros and even sewing matchines! dont you think its better to have one place with all the books that dont need to have them like all over the world in millions of copies that seems more green. plus i cant afford to buy books all the time
Bob, there's a HUGE West Indian community in Atlanta. We have Caribbean carnival every memorial day weekend with multiple carnivals, concerts and events throughout GA. Also Lithonia, Atlanta, Stone Mountain and Decatur specifically have a large Caribbean populous. And we definately have tons of Caribbean restaurants, small businesses, lounges, bakeries, and nightclubs both ITP and OTP. I'm from the Virgin Islands and have lived in Atlanta since 1997 and I've experienced this since I arrived here.
Legit had the worst night ever...until im blessed with a new sibling rivalry?! BITCH GOD IS WITH ME!
Midnight east coast crew clocking in 😌 also Bob's Alyssa impression absolutely sent me 😂
"Have you ever loved somebody' was my first slow dance 😢 makes me so nostalgic hearing Monet sing it.
Monet's sweatshirt is amazing. Sun is Shining is my all time fave Bob Marley song. Always takes me to the beach in my mind and calms me down when anxious.
I love when both of them sing!
"Punisher said: Blue lives matter, girl"
So true, there's nothing more "red flag" than a Punisher fan 😭😭😭
That was Wayne Wonder! "No Letting Go" was such an amazing song. Its still in rotation on my favorite playlist.
System of a Down has some of the best harmonies ever recorded. I'm not taking debate at this time.
Monet I’m from Charlotte NC & that song you were singing at 2:18 “No letting Go” by Wayne Wonder was such a hit in the south also. I was shocked when Bob said he didn’t know it.
Not Monet bringing back this Wayne wonder song from the deepest depths of my mind!!!!! I really forgot all about it!
I already listened to this on spotify 3 times full
“So that’s why you like Batman? Because you like rich people!” Says the St Lucian 1% Monet X Change 😂
🧡🧡🧡.Bobs face when Monet says pass lool
Turn the lights down low. Lauren Hill and Bob Marley is perfection.
Her little rap in it so good!
i just wanna say this is my favorite episode of all time like it makes me so happy i listen to it constantly and i don't even like superheroes!!!! its just so fun listening to them speak about something they both like and know a lot about like even the part about the singers is so great bc u just know theyre passionate about it, i love it
bob so right for saying he’d cry if he heard mariah sing live
Bob singing vicinity of obscenity is a full on SEND. I’m so happy and so in love!!😍😍😍
i grew up poor in texas, and depended on the library to read "a book"
I will die on this hill: Halle Berry's Catwoman was not a bad movie. It is a camp masterpiece and was not appreciated at the time was released. I strongly urge ppl to rewatch. Bad CGI aside (because that part was unacceptable) I feel like everyone leaned into the dramatic, over the top, theatrical feel of the movie. Unfortunately, at the time, an emphasis on darker, gritty comic book movies was hot, giving critics a reason to go way too hard on the movie. Lol 😂, i can't be the only one.
Hear me out. J lawrence's mistique wasnt supposed to be confident and hot. Prof x had been pretty much emotionally abusing her for years, it took decades for her confidence to come back. He made her feel ashamed of her blue form, controlled her mind, and made her feel never good enough even in skintone form.
I'm a cis female and I have a healthy body count. I dropped that shame charade a long time ago. 38 and single and happy. I don't have just side open legs but I don't get caught up in the numbers. It's not productive.
Yassss, always here for you twoss🖤
monet fr not saying villain... bob needs to stop pushing the monet is a gaslighter narrative
aw theyre both in such good moods this episode lol
Bob definitely got on my nerves when he challenged Monet for not being open.
Let me say….Bob has never been more wrong than in this video. He contradicted himself so much in this video
How?
Bob saying Christopher Columbus directed Batman KILLING ME 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I never hopped on the post 2010 superhero train. I got my obsession in 90s and 2000s with Batman, Blade, Spawn, Xmen, Spiderman.
Bianca: oh so you're poly? DOES POLLY WANT A CRACKER???
🤡
die hard comic fans are crying from frustration after this video
Romijn pronounced Ramone. I cackled every time 😂
its also crazy to me how there hasnt been a single superhero skit parody or even musical in Rupaul considering how popular Marvel is to the gays
Isn't DragKanda a Black Panther spoof? I'm thinking because Marvel is a Disney franchise and Disney can get very tight with their franchises.👀
is it really that popular for the gays specifically? seems more like a normie/straight thing lol
For the gays? No it's just become a mainstream thing in general now.
@@m_j_ox well that too
the X-Men comics were written as a literal allegory for the gays/POC/minorities ✌😭💓 I get so emotional just thinking about it
Bob liking system of a down is sending meeeee
I hope I see Bob as a Batman villain one day, new dream for the both of us 💕
Unintentional Shade 🙃
Monet is in love!!
Monet I respectfully disagree with the opinion that you can’t find music in death metal and metal in general. The musicality in those genres is found in the rhythms and in the time signatures, it’s very experimental in terms of how the rhythms and meters. And there are different vocalist techniques and overtones that are very difficult to accomplish. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea nor does it have to be, but it definitely deserves respect from a technical and musical standpoint.
Very well said indeed!
Yes 🤘🏼
I don't agree with the comments about Tina Turner. Is it because her voice is raspy that they say she's not a vocalist? Let any person try and sing her songs...she just makes it look easy.
Thank you, she’s an icon, I can’t with these two right now
Mariah Carey's vocal range is insane!!!!
Thank you for the Mark Hamil Joker love!!! So underrated
I think 2 serious Jack Black roles were Shallow Hal and the King Kong movie.
"Rebecca Ramone Stam-ose" makes me piss my pants 😂😂😂
Tyra Sanchez doing "Blow" from Kesha would have me dying.
I can't believe I listened to a whole episode about superheroes. I hate superheroes but there's something about this Podcast
me looking for the comments of the people who gave bob the slurpty slurp
Emma Frost is definitely a Omega Level/Class 5 super hero.
Monét so easily dismissed her
Technically, Emma Frost isn't omega-level. But that's not to say she's not a powerful mutant, because she is, one of the strongest telepaths out there in fact. So yeah, Monet shouldn't have dismissed her so easily!
Yeah isn’t she almost on the level of Professor X … ?
@@joelpolanco6776 Yup, she's on par with Xavier! And the thing is, even Xavier isn't omega-level. The only omega-level mutant telepaths are Jean Grey and Kid Omega. And yet Emma and Xavier are considered omega *class* telepaths though... comics, y'know!
48:50 Bob: _"Maybe I'm just talking about Batman"_ 🤔🦇
Fox owned the rights to the x men in movies. So marvel pushed the avengers and other characters that they didn't sell off in the 90s when they were going bankrupt. Now that they have money they are buying their rights back. They got X-Men and fantastic 4. Unfortunately for Disney, the deal they had for Spider-Man fell through when Sony came out with Into the Spider verse.
i got into soad in middle school and listened to them religiously and now as an adult i'm into them again lately out of nostalgia and bob saying she likes them And one of their worst/least memorable songs imo made me so happy lmao
I LOVE YOU BOB!
Bob is looking particularly gorgeous today!!!
was listening to this while in the gym and bitch my head almost exploded trying to contain my laughter at the thought of RuPaul being Storm 💀💀💀
"No letting go no holding back"
I can’t comment on Spotify so on the comment of libraries having technology in libraries, the Boston public library has 24/7 wifi outside, loans laptops, and hotspots
I had to pause he podcast to investigate that serious assertion about Celine Dion’s version of “River Deep Mountain High” being superior to Tina’s.
You right. It is. And Tina has taken over enough songs to give one away.
21:44 saving for reference
Loving the hell outta Monet too!
I’m surprised no one mentioned Deadpool 🤷♀️
Bob should definitely check out the Harley Quinn Animated Series!!! it's an unusual take on the DC universe and it's so fucking hilarious!
Omgggggggg Never Say Never was AMAZING 🤩
megan thee stallion as jean grey pls 💀😭
Why does the video always cut lit half way through 😭
Ziggy Marley wrote/performed the Arthur theme song!
I love all of this
I lone Monet and Bob, their energy is captivating
Mama I was raisin' my brow at Monet not finishing her antibiotics...girl.
Monet didn’t say anything about calling bob a villain?? Wtf
So I did "rewind the tapes" and Monet did Not in fact say "If you were a supervillain," in fact she said "If you were a superhero, what would your power be."
System of a down does have some good ones, haha they'll keep you awake on long road trips.
I cannot believe what I’m listening to ! I came here to hear about their thoughts on Thor instead they are dragging miss Tina Burner again. CelineDions versions of river deep mountain high is so cheesy . Tina turners voice expresses what she’s lived through and her triumphs, it’s raspy and full of life, Celine Dions version has non of that, Goodbye 👋
Was confused for a moment when the episode didn't start with a fight
Not that I think y'all are really into anime much, but theres a really good one called 'My Hero Academia' that you two might actually be able to get into.. Its whole premise is basically 'We live in a Superhuman world' where you literally train as a kid to possibly become a Superhero. Just this whole conversation gave me the vibes that I get when friends and I try to come up with what we might be in these worlds.. Plus, you can also play it, Street Fighter style, on Playstation.. makes for a good game.
When Aretha Franklin sings Natural Woman you can hear that she’s tired where as Celine sounds delicate because she’s only had one love and she new him since she was 13 . I’ve never been able to get into Celine because I don’t believe what she sings, she doesn’t take me down with her and raise me back up like Aretha and Tina
Aretha Tired ? I beg to differ!........😳
Y I said 20 in my head 😩
As for Marvel, I love Phoenix/Jean Grey, the dark phoenix film, not so good, could've been so many levels better. Let's see a whole movie focused on STORM, done well and I'll be very happy!
