Lyrics:
When I watch you come, baby, I just wanna run, far away
You're not the kind of person 'round I wanna stay
When I see you walking down the street
I step on your hands and I mangle your feet
You're not the kind of person that I want to meet
Oh, babe, you're so vicious
You're just so vicious
#LouReed #Vicious #OfficialAudio
The best album I've heard so far
Lou Reed told Rolling Stone that Andy Warhol inspired the song: "He said, 'Why don't you write a song called 'Vicious'? And I said, 'What kind of vicious?' 'Oh, you know, vicious like I hit you with a flower.' And I wrote it down literally."

Yeah
Infinity love this song is awesome ❤
Sounds to me like warhols is full of shit
Genius
At the age of 13, I was already working, but I put everything aside when I started this music, it was impossible not to pay attention, it always fascinated me and fascinates me...
Lou’s use of punchy verbs & adjectives showcase his skill in creative writing - no wonder David Bowie was in awe of Lou’s skill, because he made it all seem so easy to compose, but as we all know, those proficient in anything have that knack of making what they do seem like anyone could do what they do, and, of course, that’s the essence of their talent - we all can’t -it’s pure creative Ambrosia!
I miss his playfulness with music reporters, quite cutting at times, but mostly fun - my ‘Satellite of Love’ musician for 55years now- RIP LR.
JaneR
absolutely one of his best songs ever!
One of the best songs ever.
@@MarjorieJCat I am getting a band together and I want to play a bunch of Lou Reed songs and this is one of them. It will be a weird band, hard electric blues and Lou Reed material. I especially enjoy playing Satellite Of Love.
with a stick all i have a guitar pic the references to the phallic
1973.......had this record, love Lous gritty rhythm guitar ! Mick Ronson is very important on this record ! Wild chromatic vibrato bends,,,
After Bowie hooked up with Lou Reed on his New York Promotional tour for his Album "The Man Who Sold The World" in 71 he said that he would produce an Album for him hence"Transformer" with his lead Bass Guitarist, Mick Ronson; saying along the lines "I will make you Famous again" It was that sort of Charactor that Bowie was renown for right up to his passing . . . . . What Legends!
Michael Eamon Osborne not with stevie ray vaughan though
Stupid music xd no music hmm 1% good
Mick Ronson was bowie's lead guitarist, not bassist :)
@@celinescat1551 - For sure! And, that's the fab man himself here on lead guitar. (Mick was very gifted musically and actually could play bass, but didn't very often.) That's Herbie Flowers on bass on this track.
Bowie's bassist (Ziggy era) was the late, great Trevor Bolder (later with Uriah Heep). Before Trevor, Tony Visconti played bass with David.
One of my favorite Lou Reed songs.
What an amazing album!!
Yes,it really was!
Oh yeah 👍👍
A tune to grow up listening to back in the day ❤❤
One of my most treasured possessions. "Transformer" a truly great album.
It just goes to show you that it doesn't take a ton of effects to record an awesome song. Sometimes simple is better.
I love Reed's off-the-cuff singing and intentionally sloppy guitar playing.
and its better because... WHO CARES LETS JUST SAY MORE AFFIRMATIVE STUFF!
you know, sometimes they think E minor is a good chord, but actually G major is better hehehe I am so smart
@@carlitobrigante330 Me too :) You have a very cool name, by the way ;)
you must think that I'm a gay blade... well why don't you swallow a razor blade...now that's simple.
50th anniversary of this SUPERB album, TRANSFORMER. R.I.P LOU REED and
R.I.P DAVID BOWIE ROCK LEGEND AND ICONS.
I was only 13years old when I and a school pal went to see LOU REED in concert. Wow! What a gig! And Bowie was there too!!
Vicious
You hit me with a flower
You do it every hour
Oh, baby, you're so vicious
Vicious
You want me to hit you with a stick
But all I've got is a guitar pick
Huh, baby, you're so vicious
When I watch you come
Baby, I just want to run far away
You're not the kind of person around I
Want to stay
When I see you walking down the street
I step on your hands and I mangle your feet
You're not the kind of person that I want to meet
Oh, baby, you're so vicious
You're just so vicious
Vicious
Hey, you hit me with a flower
You do it every hour
Oh, baby you're so vicious
Vicious
Hey, why don't you swallow razor blades
You must think that I'm some kind of gay blade
But baby, you're so vicious
When I see you coming
I just have to run
You're not good and you certainly aren't
Very much fun
When I see you walking down the street
I step on your hand and I mangle your feet
You're not the kind of person that I'd even want to meet
'Cause you're so vicious
Baby, you're so vicious
Vicious, vicious
Vicious, vicious
Vicious, vicious
Vicious, vicious

I had the great fortune of seeing Lou perform a few times. He was just great
Unfortunately I think Lou kind of flew under the commercial radar. He deserved more credit. Love Perfect Day. RIP LOU.

Thanks to British punk band BLITZ for covering this on their '82 "Voice Of A Generation" LP which got me aquainted to the original later (born too late in '67).

The Album Cover is photo from Lou' s first Solo band ( Cant Stand It - Shes A Wild Child ect .).....@ show somewhere in London.
Lou Reed was really good at making bad music sound good. He wasn't very talented, but everything he did still sounded great. I feel like his unbridled creativity definitely plays a part in the vibe his music gives me.
The fact is that most so-called artists make bad songs sound good. Lou Reed was a truly great songwriter, incredibly influential, and his music sounds great because it is great. That's what someone like Bowie saw in him, because Bowie and Warhol and other great artists knew enough to be able to appreciate Lou Reed's art. I think you should do some homework before you make ill-advised comments.
Lou Reed said Andy Warhol gave him this expression. Baby you are so vicious and you hit me with a flower!
but what does it mean?
Love You Ky And Jan..You're So Vicious...
💖👍💐
1:07 that lovely guitar work starts
