What a awesome educational opportunity this video is! $30 was a cheap education and I was happy to send them to you just for this purpose. If this even helps one person, then the cost of getting those fakes off the street was well worth it. 🙂 I can’t thank you enough for all that you do to help others.
I am an insurance adjuster and pay for damaged designer bags all the time. This video was extremely educational. Thank you for sending her these bags to cut up. I knew a bit about fake bags, but her cutting these bags up, taught me so much more. Thank you again.
That was so great! I walked right by a Coach bag yesterday because I have no idea how to spot a fake. Now I know!!! Thanks Rachel! It might be worth it to go back and see if it’s still there, just so I can get some practice.
I kept having to tell myself “it’s a fake, it’s ok” as you cut through the Cooches 😅🤣 I knew a few tips but I learned so much!! Thank you! Hope this video goes VIRAL 💯💯🎊🎉
That was great and I think you used just the right amount of sarcasm. Lol. I know very little about high end anything but because of your videos I am learning so much. Thank you so much, Smitty.
OmG...thanks for sharing with us ❤❤❤, what a good informative video for all of us who ❤ Coach Purses. I am one of who like Coach Purses 😘, and glad to know all my collection are authentic 😘 after I watched this video, thank you Rachel 💋❤
This was super informative, I especially like the tip about the solid rings and metal zippers. Great lesson in Coach! Thanks so much for taking the time to post this!
Thank you so much. I learned a lot. ❤I love your personality and enjoyed the sarcasm to the fake ones😂. I'm going to watch more of your channel as I'm selling coach bags, and you help out a lot. Do not want to sell a fake, love ya❤ Kimberly
I wonder how many people are doing what my wife is. Digging thru our pile of garage sale purses looking for anything authentic. Found one genuine Coach bag on our dollar table already!
Always appreciate your videos. I just bought a vintage Coach purse on line and thankfully all the 'fake' indicators were missing.I was so nervous when I opened the box. The fake cooch is hysterical, but not really.
Great Video! You’re right about knowing what the real thing looks like but seeing a fake gave me that extra confidence to know when to buy and when to pass ! I subscribed just based. In this video! Thank you and keep them coming ! 💕
I think the Inside Out is a little big and I plan on getting one. It looks like a tote and that little pouch is great. Overall I'm not a fan of the Neverfull - it's not really a purse and it's pretty common. However, I do have a summer special edition. I bought it on *unidups* and I tuck the sides in when I carry it
Like you I collect vintage coach for myself. I still have the first coach I had in high school ~ I like the old, old solid leather kind. After this video I realized a recent pick up of an adorable pale pink coach tote is fake. A really good fake: solid rings, correct stitching (nice and even) but sadly the metal zipper is not marked and the inside zipper is plastic. Oh well. I will carry it myself because it’s cute. Thank goodness I picked it up for $3. I am sticking with the vintage bags from the 80’s and 90’s from now on lol. I have been looking for a vintage bucket bag for quite a while because I ruined mine with ink. NOTE TO SELF: do not carry sharpies in my purse 🙄
Wendy i collect the same coach you like! The solid leather ones. How does the creed look in your pink bag? I wouldn't completely rule it out by the zippers alone. Its one part to a big puzzle. Were there other things that made you think it may be fake?
@@RachelStrickland the creed is the same pink leather with silver writing and silver coach hang tag. However ~ no number on creed. It does have the correct pointed A but then the inside tag is pink “Made in Vietnam”
By the way, another way to tell the authentic signature coach from the fake right away is that if the Cs finish a certain way on the right side, it will finish the same way but oposite on the left side. The same way with top and bottom. My aunt used to make those bags when they where based here in Miami, before they closed the factories here and took them to China to make more profit. She told me that was the most obvious way to tell the fakes from the authentic.
I saw a coach wristlet at a antique store but I didn’t buy it I have a picture but I can’t seem to find any pictures of the same one online anywhere but from what I can tell it looks real
I really enjoyed watching you destroy those! It was very educational but I hate knockoffs lol Thank you for that! Now I desperately want a real Coach bag because it looks so luxurious! 😍
Great information! Thanks for posting! I learned a lot....Question: Do all Coach bags, including vintage, have serial numbers? I have two second hand bags that seem to pass most of the authentication tests but do not have serial numbers.
Great video! I just purchased a box lot of 25 vintage coach bags and so far 3 are fakes and possibly a 4th. Two say Made in Korea :) I did get a chance to look at them all before purchase and the seller reduced price for fakes that I could ID, but he made me take them. I may do a video on them sometime soon~
@@RachelStrickland thank you. i am aware that in some outlet store they will have a section that states items are not factory outlet but "authentic" to use the term.
@@RachelStrickland thx u so much. I had my notifications bell 🔔 on. ❤️ Just got all my equipment so I can do actual tutorials. Can’t wait 4 your next vid! 🤗
Thank you for the great video and information! I have a question about the creed label. Is it true that not all authentic labels would have a number? I bought some Coach purses where the lettering on the label is not crisp, clear, easy to read. I'm guessing that's a dead giveaway that it's a knock-off?
There are 2 times when a creed will not have a number. The first is exceptionally old bags. The second are the modern bags. In the case of the modern bags, there's a white fold over tag sewn into the lining seam in the bag. The number is actually on that tag Now. It is possible that authentic coachbags may have sloppy stamping, but that is more of a rarity. The stamping is usually crisp and legible. I always tell people to read the creed 4 or 5 times because it's amazing how your mind makes up the discrepancies and fixes the spelling errors and you will not even notice them. Read the creed At least 4 or 5 times and study each word to ensure there are no misspellings.
@@RachelStrickland thank you for reply and information! I appreciate it! I’m trying to resell Coach purses, and I certainly don’t want to get caught with a fake.
Of course the people who made those bags will say "We never said they were Coach bags. It clearly says 'cooch' right on them". I think you got way too much enjoyment out of destroying those fake bags lol. 6:42 I also noticed white spaces between the C's on the fake, where the C's on the authentic bag are touching.

I have Coach bag that I purchased from Coach and there is no serial number at all. The bag is probably over ten years old though.
Thank you Rachel, I'm always afraid to purchase second hand coach bags because I fear the knock off.
I hope I was able to empower you to maybe pick one up in the future

what is the difference between a outlet COACH bag and a COACH bag sold in department stores? are the outlet bags inferior?
Yes, I believe like most "outlet" lines, they are inferior but still very mice quality.
