The Municipality of Boljoon is full of strange Things. From the skull and skeleton stone carvings to the old haunted-looking houses, to the stone formations all over the town and strange fruit in the mountain and more. Althlough strange but Boljoon is no doubt one of the most awesome town in the whole of Cebu and one of my favorite.
In this video, I started my tour in Barangay El Pardo. Checking the spring water that flows underground to the beachline in Molobolo, El Pardo. I also dropped by the sharp curves in Barangay Arbor and Baclayan. A strange stone formation that looks like a giant tile which I find so peculiar.
From there, I climbed up ILI ROCK/ ELI ROCK right before reaching Boljoon Church. Check it out guys! The breathtaking view which I believed you would also want to see and experience.
Another and most popular attraction of the town is the Nuestra Señora del Patrocinio de Maria Parish Church. Only church declared as a National Historical Treasure. I roamed the entire church complex so that you will all see the beauty of this church. There are also some strange things in there like the skull and skeleton stone carvings, the 2-meter thick walls of the church, the stone hard church door and more. Check it out in the video guys!
I can not miss out the heritage houses there. So, I walked the streets at the back of the church going to the public market where you can find the beautiful Spanish and American Period heritage and Ancestral Houses still standing, in good condition and has tenants. Surprisingly beautiful!
Then, I headed to Barangay Upper Becerril to see for myself the 5-level waterfalls myself. Reaching Dayhag Falls was a mission accomplished for me as the falls was my final destination before heading back to the city. While swimming in the falls, I discovered a very strange fruit with a very strange fruitty smell. Watch the video to know more of that fruit which I believed only a few people know. Another thing that surprised me was that the water was perfectly cold. Not too cold like that of other southern cebu falls. The water was sweet too and not many people go up there. So, that means you will really enjoy this natural attraction because there is a big chance that the 4th level has no other people except you. Just like what happened to me when I went there.
Also, in this video are epic drone shots I took when I was at the top of ELI Rock. The drone shots of the church and the bay and boulevard of the town in front of the church.

Thank you so much. I have read something on the internet about the house of your Grandpa. Like it was once a garrison during WWII and the house still stands beautiful to this day considering it was built in 1928. Amazing! Will definitely visit Boljoon and will drop by Niere Ancestral House. 🫡

My wife is from Boljoon she moved to the U.K. as a nurse where we met. we have just got a house there. I do love it so much. I love my family over there and I love the people they have always been so welcoming to me and I’m so grateful. Can’t wait to go back. As always … thankful to you for showcasing Cebu! I was there last month and had reservation in Sumilon Island. Lo and behold, the weather did not cooperate and there was no boat sailing to the island. We ended up staying in the mainland and crossing the mountains from east to west of Southern Cebu - scary road coz we were alone for miles until we reached the western side of Moalboal! Keep us informed!
