Soniq I swear you just saved my life with this man. You got a sub, a bell and a like. Please keep putting out my Logic Pro x Tutorials. Im about to go through your other videos right now. Thank you and congrats on getting married!
I’ve only used stock plug ins to make beats. But sometimes I feel like alchemy is outdated? Is it? Kinda new to this. I only really made demo beats using chords and Apple Loops to make ideas of songs to come. What about serum? Ppl still use that? I have never made a purchase for plug ins but I think it’s time. Where do u recommend I look first for my first software instrument purchase?
I would say get something like Nexus or Serum that have lot of sounds in there already; Serum is good as you can get expansions for free as well. If you're looking for realistic stuff then Kontakt but it could get expensive. For Drums and other samples - you can subscribe to splice. Start slow and learn the tools you have first. I have a template on my site which is 100% stock logic pro plugins and sounds which you can use to make beats off of. Sample packs (free and paid) on my site as well!
hey, how would you mix reggaeton and bollywood together in garageband using stock plugins and free samples? how do you make melodies and chord progressions in both genres? are bollywood melodies different than reggaeton melodies? because i feel theyre both very different from pop melodies. also, if you have any recommendations on tracks that combine reggaeton and bollywood together, please let me know! I feel the fusion is too rare. hope to hear from you.
honestly, what makes something bollywood is just the melodies. everything else is same. Try to experiment with sounds and indian scales/raag. you will get it to sound indian.
Loved your short and sweet video. I learned few tricks and I am going to try them. Logic also has Drummer. Is there a way to use the drummer to produce Reggaeton beats?
Splice is just a library that provides sounds you still need a digital audio workstation. There are a bunch of them out there if you have a Mac GarageBand is free and you can start with that.
Why call it reggaeton when not a single real reggaeton kick snare were used. They are many reggaeton librerias kits free online to download and use them. Thats more of a pop tropical latin style u did there. But calling it reggaeton just because of drum rythem does not make it raggaeton if no real reggaeton drum sample kits were even used
I will respectfully disagree, the goal was to use as much as basic tools and samples available! Pattern is what makes it reggaeton and not the drum samples! :)

You can if it fits your workflow. For me this trick works better
is splice free or do you recommend another software for the beats?
