  • Japan has three types of Pharmacies: Pharmacies,Dispensing Pharmacies and Drug stores.
    Pharmacies sells over-the-counter(OTC) drugs but does not dispense medications or Rx orders
    Dispensing Pharmacies both sells OTC and dispenses medications and Rx orders
    Drug stores sells OTCs does not dispense medications and sells sanitary goods, necessities and cosmetics.

    Hey! I'm a pharmacy technician in Columbus, Ohio USA within a doctors office. We have no pharmacist onsite and it's only me dispensing to our 1,000 patients that we have. Super cool seeing the difference in Japan and USA pharmacies

    Can’t believe I found a video about a Japanese pharmacy in ENGLISH!
    I’m an Australian registered pharmacist myself, living in Tokyo with my Japanese husband. I obviously can’t work here so we will go to Australia to live so I can continue working as a pharmacist…
    I didn’t think it was possible for a foreign trained pharmacist to work as a pharmacist in Japan.. what are you doing exactly in Japan? :)

    Pharmacists from India here and this is very advanced from what we use here especially that tablet packaging machine and the dose calculation of herbal/traditional ones is so alien to me ;-;
    Btw I'm actively learning japanese to try to immigrate to nihon and work as a pharmacist can you please list the requirements? I have heard that a japanese bachelor in pharmacy is 6 year but here it's only 4 years, so is it not valid there?

    In India, our packaging method is different. We don't separate out the medicines from strips but label it with time to be taken at. I feel packing these tablets after separating from strips can be tedious and time consuming. I maybe wrong, but can someone explain me benefits of these methods?

    Hi how do you become registered pharmacist in Japan after completing 4 yrs BS Pharma in the PH po?

    • @ivysabregz1518
      @ivysabregz1518 2 роки тому +1

      I think you need to pass the boards/exams there to become a pharmacist in jJapan/abroad and probably add up some units depends on their requirements since we have different curriculum here in PH. And also you have to consider taking Japanese lessons like taking JLPT which has 5 levels since seeing most of the drug are in their language. it's gonna be challenging but it's not impossible to achieve if you want it :)
