14:52 Technically, Biffle and SSundee are correct. This is because due to the wording of the question, putting 23 would be wrong since it would be short, so 24 would be the technically correct answer. However, Sigils is correct in this question for 2 reasons. The main reason is that this question involves elementary school math, which predominantly uses the rounding rule. The other reason is that when it comes to things such as boxes, you would always round down since you can’t make up a remainder of a box. Sorry if this was a little complicated
I watched Ssundee back in 2015 and now I’m too old and don’t really enjoy his content as much but it’s crazy to see how their is an entire new generation of fans. Once in a while I’ll click on these videos just to reminisce
I think the question for 4th grade is not refering about the inches when they put 4.8, but instead it was 4 feet and 8/10 of a feet, and it would make the answer to the question correct
15:01 Ian (Ssundee), you were right. It should have been 24 boxes. 23 boxes will only be equal to 322 inches (26 feet and 10 inches). While 27 feet is equal to 324 inches.
@@revanthyanduru6755 No it is 1' 2" (1 foot 2 inches) per box and there are 12 inches in a foot so therefore you have 1foot and 2/12 = 1/6 so 1 and 1/6 of a foot for each box therefore 1.166666 * 23 = 26.833333 or 26 and 5/6 feet i.e not exceeding 27 feet so 24 was the correct answer
@@adixxx3056 you had to divide the hight of the kid by the 4 boxes. Meaning: 4,8/4 = 1.2(the hight of 1 box) ; Dividing 27 boxes by the hight of 1 box, meaning: 27/1,2 = 22,5 ; rounding up equals 23. Sigils was rigt
Answer. If Joe's height is equal to 4.8 feet and it takes 4 boxes to reach that height, we can determine the number of boxes needed to reach 27 feet by setting up a proportion. Therefore, it would take approximately 22.5 boxes to reach a height of 27 feet.
@@christhur3345 that is not quite right. There are 12 inches in one foot. 2 inches does not equal .2 of a feet. 2 inches equals .1667. Each box is 1 feet 2 inches. 23 boxes will give 23 feet 46 inches which is 2 inches short from 27 feet. 23 is not correct.
The person who answered it when creating the game should not have rounded since the question specifically asks for enough to EXCEED 27 feet. If they use 23 they do not reach 27 feet so 23 cannot exceed 27 feet. The game answered the question incorrectly. Maybe the game dev is not smarter than a 5th grader?
The answer to the box question should technically be 24. You must divide 4 from 56. After doing this you will be left with 14. You must then divide 14 from 27. This is approximately equal to 23.14 boxes. However, you can’t have a remainder of a box. Therefore, you must stack another box to exceed the 27’. This means the answer is 24. Unless, you consider rounding, which wouldn’t get you to the correct height(you would be short) then the game is incorrect.
Wrong the answer is 23 because if you check if the answer is correct the way to do so is to divide 4.8 by four equals 1.2 then multiply with 23 to get the answer of 27.6 and if rounded up the answer is 28
@@scoutrohwedder5514 The question said “EXCEED” 27 feet which means it doesn’t need to be exact. You can check Sigils work be doing the equation 23•1.2= 27.6 which is correct because it doesn’t need to be exact and when you check SSundee’s by do the equation 24•1.2= 28.8 which is incorrect because it’s 28 feet and not 27 feet there for SSundee was wrong.
@ 15:00 My math is 4(12)+8= 56 inches tall 56 / 4 = 14 inch boxes 27(12) = 324 inches is 27 feet which we must exceed. 324 / 14 = 23.14 (can only use whole numbers since 📦 is whole numbers) Therefore 23 boxes is shy by 2 inches (26’ 10”) The correct answer is 24 boxes
its 23 boxes because 4.8 feet divided by 4= 1.2 feet 1.2 feet= 14.4 inches (not just 14) That's why everyone is messing up 27 x 12 = 324 inches. (12 inches in 1 foot) 14.4 x 23= 331.2 inches So 23 boxes are over. SSundee just did 14 on its own making it just under forgetting the 0.4 You also do 4.8 feet divided by 4= 1.2 feet 1.2 feet x 20 = 24 feet 21 boxes = 25.2 feet because you have added the 1.2 feet to 24 making 25.2 22 boxes = 26.4 feet because you have added the 1.2 feet to 25.2 making 26.4 23 boxes = 27.6 feet because you have added the 1.2 feet to 26.4 making 27.6 It's 23 because it's just over 27 24 is too much Btw 4.8 feet isn't 56 inches it's 57.6 inches
@@nathanascool5030 you cant just divide 4.8 by 4 because there are 12 inches in a foot, not 10. By your logic, thats saying 1 foot divided by 2 is 0.5, which then you convert t inches, when you have to convert to inches THEN divide. So that logic doesnt work. You have to convert everything to inches before dividing. 24 is the rights answer, but i think they rounded to the nearest number
@@nathanascool5030 Listen to the nugget it's because there 12 inches in 1 foot you can't just assume that 2 inches is 0.2 feet as it is 2/12 feet or 0.166666 feet
I think that sigils is right about the boxes, because each box is 1.2 feet (14 inches) so to exceed 27 feet the math should be 27 divided by 1.2 and it should be 22.5 which technically is 23, unless ofc it's the next one then it's 24
1.2 feet doesn’t equal 14 inches, which throws off the rest of your math. Instead, all numbers should be converted to inches, so they are of a common measurement. Take 27x12=324. Then 324/14=23.14. Like someone else said, you can’t have a fraction of a box, so the answer should be 24. Hope that makes sense
You are correct - use any scientific calculator work it out step by step 4.8 inches dived by 4 means that 1 box = 1.2, the reason only 23 is accepted and not any other number above is because in the grade this question is posed for is when you are taught to be more specific with your answers (until they start teaching estimate questions which are a pain) phahaha but yeah dude you're right, congrats on being able to do math which cannot be said for a lot of this comment section
@@inezearnest9830 I just looked it up and I'm correct if 4.8 is 4 boxes, 8÷4=2 and 4÷4=1 which means 1.2, and each foot is 12 inches, 0.2 feet is is 2 inches 12 inches + 2 inches is 14, which in turn means the amount of boxes ÷ by how tall is each box so 27 ÷ 1.2 is 22.5 and there can't be a fraction On this one meaning it's 23 not exactly but because it's half so the closest to it is technically 23 if it were to be 22.4, it would be 22 because it's closer to 22 than to 23

@@nighthunter3372what? it's the same thing they're just converting it to a common unit. You were kind of right about the bill introduction process. It's true that the house can introduce a bill that will then go to the senate, then to the white house. However, the senate can introduce a bill, that will then go to the House, then, if passed, goes to the White House. Hope this helps!

14:52, I have a different metric system, but it can't be to different, so, here ir goes my answer... you don't do 1.2 * 23; you do 27 * 1.2; that gives a total of 22,5 and to exceed it you need 23. Another way to do this is by counting; 1.2 (1) ; 2.4 (2) ; 3.6 (3) ; 4.8 (4) ; 6.0 (5) ; 7.2 (6) ; 8.4 (7) ; 9.6 (8) ; 10.8 (9) ; 12.0 (10) ; 13.2 (11) ; 14.4 (12) ; 15.6 (13) ; 16.8 (14) ; 18.0 (15) ; 19.2 (16) ; 20.4 (17) ; 21.6 (18) ; 22,8 (18) ; 24.0 (20) ; 25.2 (21) ; 26.4 (22) ; 27.6 (23). With that we prove that Sigils was actually right
15:40 SSundee here's why you're wrong: The person is exactly as tall as 4 boxes, which is 4'8", which again is four boxes, 9'6" is 8 boxes, and 19'2" is 16 boxes. 9'6" + 19'2" = 28'8" = 24 boxes. You can still go down 1 box to exceed 27. 28'8" - 1'2" (1 box) = 27'6", (23 boxes) which is greater than 27. Anyway, good video! (Edit: Everybody technically was right because you're still exceeding 27 feet, and they never specified you need the least amount of boxes to exceed 27 feet like Zud stated :/)

If every box is 1 foot 2 inches, then 20 boxes is 24feet tall. Then you need 23 boxes to exceed 27. 3 extra boxes = 3 foot 6 inches. 24+3.6=27.6 The game was correct. Also how Zud explained invertebrates were wrong. The term applies to cold-blooded animals, like lizards and snakes, I believe. Humans have a spine, but they're not cold-blooded as far as I know, meaning, they're not invertebrates.
No it is 1' 2" (1 foot 2 inches) per box and there are 12 inches in a foot so therefore you have 1foot and 2/12 = 1/6 so 1 and 1/6 of a foot for each box therefore 1.166666 * 23 = 26.833333 or 26 and 5/6 feet i.e not exceeding 27 feet so 24 was the correct answer
idiot ur wrong for both questions. decimals go up to 10 and inches go up to 12. Also, invertebrate LITERALLY HAS THE WORD vertebrae in it which is your backbone. In means without. Heres the actual definition: an animal lacking a backbone, such as an arthropod, mollusc, annelid, coelenterate, etc. The invertebrates constitute an artificial division of the animal kingdom, comprising 95 per cent of animal species and about thirty different phyla.
No, the boxes one is incorrect. If 4 boxes is 4'8" then 1 box is 1'2". 23 boxes would be 23'46" or 26'10", which is just under 27 feet. One more box is needed to exceed 27 feet, so Sigils was actually incorrect.

4(12)+8= 56 inches tall
56 / 4 = 14 inch boxes
27(12) = 324 inches is 27 feet which we must exceed.
324 / 14 = 23.14 (can only use whole numbers since 📦 is whole numbers)
Therefore 23 boxes is shy by 2 inches (26’ 10”)
The correct answer is 24 boxes
Smart
Simplify plz
its 23 boxes because
4.8 feet divided by 4= 1.2 feet
1.2 feet= 14.4 inches (not just 14) That's why everyone is messing up
27 x 12 = 324 inches. (12 inches in 1 foot)
14.4 x 23= 331.2 inches
So 23 boxes are over. SSundee just did 14 on its own making it just under forgetting the 0.4
You also do
4.8 feet divided by 4= 1.2 feet
1.2 feet x 20 = 24 feet
21 boxes = 25.2 feet because you have added the 1.2 feet to 24 making 25.2
22 boxes = 26.4 feet because you have added the 1.2 feet to 25.2 making 26.4
23 boxes = 27.6 feet because you have added the 1.2 feet to 26.4 making 27.6
It's 23 because it's just over 27
24 is too much
Btw 4.8 feet isn't 56 inches it's 57.6 inches
@@nathanascool5030 you cant just divide 4.8 by 4 because there are 12 inches in a foot, not 10. By your logic, thats saying 1 foot divided by 2 is 0.5, which then you convert t inches, when you have to convert to inches THEN divide.
So that logic doesnt work. You have to convert everything to inches before dividing.
24 is the rights answer, but i think they rounded to the nearest number
@@nathanascool5030 Listen to the nugget it's because there 12 inches in 1 foot you can't just assume that 2 inches is 0.2 feet as it is 2/12 feet or 0.166666 feet
those second graders are crazy to not have failed yet
@@inezearnest9830 I just looked it up and I'm correct if 4.8 is 4 boxes, 8÷4=2 and 4÷4=1 which means 1.2, and each foot is 12 inches, 0.2 feet is is 2 inches
12 inches + 2 inches is 14, which in turn means the amount of boxes ÷ by how tall is each box so 27 ÷ 1.2 is 22.5 and there can't be a fraction On this one meaning it's 23 not exactly but because it's half so the closest to it is technically 23 if it were to be 22.4, it would be 22 because it's closer to 22 than to 23
This is literally if nerds were having a fight 🤣
@@zaidodeh727OK but I use cm and got 24. Here's how:
4'8"=142.24cm
142.24/4=35.56cm per box
27 feet = 822.96cm
Let the amount of boxes stacked be y:
35.56y>822.96
y>23.142857
y must be an integer
Therefore it is 24?

Math:
4'8 = 4 boxes
4'8 ÷ 4 boxes = 1'2 = 1 box
27 inch ÷ 1'2 = 22.5 (we do this because we must find the amount of boxes needed, so we divide the length or one box into the amount of inches we must exceed)
Then we round the boxes up to = 23 boxes
i think ssundee and biffle were actually right here. 12 inches*27 feet is 324 inches. 324/14 (1’2”) is a little over 23 so you would need 24
thx🥲
@@scoutrohwedder5514 they did not ask for inches so do not convert to inches
It said 27 feet
@@nighthunter3372what? it's the same thing they're just converting it to a common unit. You can't divide feet with inches like 27/1.2=22.5 thinking 1'2" is 1.2
1'2"≠1.2
27/1'2"≠22.5
1'2"=1.16667 feet(Here's the unit you asked for)
27/1.16667=23.14279102 boxes
Answer must be an integer
Hence 24 boxes.
Alternative solution(inequality):
1'2"=1.16667 feet
Let the amount of boxes stacked be y:
1.16667y>27
y>23.14279102
Y must be an integer
Therefore 24.
Alternative solution 2(using cm):
4'8"=142.24cm
142.24/4=35.56cm per box
27 feet = 822.96cm
Let the amount of boxes stacked be y:
35.56y>822.96
y>23.142857
y must be an integer
Therefore it is 24
For the box question,
4'8" is (4*12)+8 = 56
56/4=14
27*12=324
324/14~23.142
Providing it this way makes it seem like it may have been rounded down, despite the context.
I thought of it as since each box is 14 inches (1.2 feet), we can divide 27ft by 1.2, we get 22.5, so 23 would exceed and be the answer
Many different way's it can be done I guess, but the game was correct.... It is indeed 23 and most people just clearly don't understand basic math....
@@znachary 1.2 feet and 1 foot and 2 inches are different. The calculation for one box is 1 foot 2 inches which is 14 inches and 27 feet is 324 inches. Thus the number of boxes needed wld be 324/14 which is abt 23.143 and since they asked for the number of boxes needed to exceed 27 feet, it shld be rounded up to 24 and not rounded down to 23. Unless Russell's thinking was right which is also possible

13:50 Sigils is correct on one end. 4'8'' is 56 inches. Divide by 4 to get the height of the child (because the child is exactly 4 boxes tall), which is 14. 27 feet is 324 inches. 324 / 14 = about 23.1428571 or 23 to round to the whole number. 23.1428571 is the correct answer technically but 23 is closer to 23.1428571 than 24 is. Why? Because you need to take the decimals into account. If you don't, you will get 24, not 23. But to EXCEED 27 feet, you will need 24 boxes but if you are trying to make it exact, you need 23 (approximately). In this circumstance, SSundee and Biffle got the answer right. Kinda a trick question so I believe all of them are correct, expect for Zud obviously.

You were kind of right about the bill introduction process.
It's true that the house can introduce a bill that will then go to the senate, then to the white house.
However, the senate can introduce a bill, that will then go to the House, then, if passed, goes to the White House.
Hope this helps!

@@thefortnitenoob2935 yes it’s called a congressional veto which requires 2/3 votes of Congress to pass.

With that we prove that Sigils was actually right
The problem with that is that 1ft 2in does not equal 1.2ft. This throws off your math entirely.
I knew that 😆😆🤣
You never disappoint
15:40 SSundee here's why you're wrong:
The person is exactly as tall as 4 boxes, which is 4'8", which again is four boxes, 9'6" is 8 boxes, and 19'2" is 16 boxes.
🤓
4’8” is 9’4” each foot is 12 inches. 4 times 2 is 8 and 8 times 2 is 16. 8 foot sixteen inches or 9 foot 4 inches. This mistake continues throughout your equations.

The face that ssundee produced Eli wrong and Joaquin correctly is crazy!
For the Joe is stacking boxes, you need 24 boxes to EXCEED 27 ft!
If every box is 1 foot 2 inches, then 20 boxes is 24feet tall.
Then you need 23 boxes to exceed 27.
3 extra boxes = 3 foot 6 inches.
24+3.6=27.6
The game was correct.
Heres the actual definition:
an animal lacking a backbone, such as an arthropod, mollusc, annelid, coelenterate, etc.
