Those bent handle ratchets are interesting. They’d be perfect for that one senecio where it’s impossible to get to a bolt/spark plug and where a little bend makes all the difference.
I'ts actually easy to repair the wobble from your snapon, just push the pin out with a vice or press and replace the split washer that goes there with a new one, you may have one laying around. Same on universal joint sockets, I got those things to stiffen really nice using some loops from a spring instead of the washer because the opening was wider on that joint. The pin itself just keeps the thing together, so if it's loose maybe you could hit the ends with a center punch or something while it's installed so it holds. On mine I got them to hold a 13/16" spark plug socket on the end of a 6" long 3/8" extension.
So that's what that is for. I was looking at a craftsman 80 dollar flex ratchet, and the same ratchet but with the bent handle for $45 made no sense why it was significantly cheaper. Bought the bent handle, and I now use it for everything. But, I always wondered if it had a specific purpose.
Yes the bent handle ratchet is for spark plugs but they come in handy to other jobs. I use mine daily. The strait flex head handle ratchet works well also. Thanks for watching

@@itsatoolthing6323 sounds like you don’t have a Mac or matco dealer cause those ratchets sold like hot cakes all over the country last year they are called lock flex heads they come in chrome or comfort grip and blacked metal

It’s ok buddy no ones perfect seems like we all have problems.. I own like all the snap on ratchets styles there is.. I know it’s totally unnecessary but it’s for our own preference I guess.. haha let’s just say we collect them.. 😂😂
They say there for spark plugs. But they work good in a lot of places give you a different angle of attack in tight spots plus can be a back if your goto ratchet go's down. Thanks for watching

I always seem to end up going back to bent handle ratchet as my daily use 3/8 drive ratchet.
They work really well for putting leverage on a nut or bolt. Lost mine at upullit been crying ever since.

I have these in all 3 drives and I love them but I wish it was a locking flex head my 1/2 one is pretty long

I sold my bent handle very handy ratchet.. I upgraded to the new speeder crank handle one much better I think good video
