Scriabin Prelude in E Minor, op. 11 no. 4 (Vikram Sundar)

Performed as part of a solo recital on April 5, 2024 in the Emerson/Harris Scholarship Program at MIT.
Alexander Scriabin began as a Romantic composer not too distant from Chopin or Liszt but gradually developed his own unique blend of modernism based on mysticism and his own synesthesia. Prelude in E Minor, op. 11 no. 4 presents a tragic duet of lyrical melodies.
