Kenneth Hesketh: Danceries, Set II

A performance of Danceries, Set II by Kenneth Hesketh. Played by the Tredegar Town Band conducted by Ian Porthouse. Played at the RNCM Festival of Brass, 24th January 2015.
As with Set I the musical themes are taken from Playford's Dancing Master, a 17th century collection of folk tunes accompanied by descriptions of the dance steps for each tune. The music is rendered in in Hesketh's distinctive style. The four movements are Jennie's Bawbee, Tom Tinker's Toye, Heart's Ease and Peascod's Galliarda.
