Beautiful job guys. Instead of attempting to share my pics/vids with people, I just refer them to your channel. Reliving the adventure. Love to you both
that BLUE FLOWER KATAROLU is using as a strong medicine for almost any inside minor diseases by locals in sri lanka, they boil the flowers in water and drink the bluish water , they use it too tea , make sweets , make milk rice etc too as both coloring and herb, so its not bad to body, but people dont eat the raw flower haha
Sri Lanka is a breathtaking island renowned for its lush landscapes, rich culture, and diverse natural beauty. that make Sri Lanka an unforgettable destination❤❤

This is a huge step up for lavi, am sure this trip will boost her confidence and have her ready for a bigger bike even. Congratulations you two, well done!
What a beautiful place to stay to start your Sri Lankan adventure! What an adventurous start with a bus crash! Glad she was OK! 😮 From what I've seen so far, Sri Lanka reminds me of riding in Vietnam. Stunning and raw! Just full send it in the roadworks bro! Fully sick maaaaaate! 🤣 Epic first video of the trip guys! I loved it and am looking forward to the rest of the series!
Looks like a cool tour. One of my GF's friends has just taken a job in Sri Lanka. I wasn't that fussed about going to visit, before, but maybe I can squeeze in a quick bike tour while I'm there? 🤔😅
Wow Lavi you look so super confident on your bike. That trail you were on in uk has really grounded you in experience road and trial surfaces. Fantastic guys. 😊
Wow yes I definitely couldn’t have ridden here in Sri Lanka without riding the TET first. Really no chance 😅 I’m so happy that I prepared myself! Thank you so much for watching ❤️❤️❤️
Wow, another awesome channel! You're now one of my favorite travel couples! 🤟 Can't wait to watch the Sri Lanka series. It's such a cool country, it's crazy how you can experience totally different places with different vibes just by traveling a few hours. 😮The views are absolutely stunning. You'll find spots that look just like scenes from a movie, and the beaches are amazing too. Sri Lanka is easily a top 10 destination for many travelers, no doubt. Once you visit, you'll make unforgettable memories and definitely want to go back. ❤
My friend, please try not to be too aggressive with the horn. I travel to Colombo daily, and I find that only about 1% of people are overly aggressive. Loud honking can be quite overwhelming for everyone. I kindly suggest that if someone gives you space, you can pass through calmly. Alternatively, you can use the headlight dim and flash as a polite signal to indicate your need for space. Only if these methods don’t work should you consider using the horn. This approach will make the journey more pleasant for everyone. I have seen how the Tuk Tuk adventure, which started in 2009 with Large Minority, has become so popular. Similarly, I believe the motorcycle adventure will gain popularity here because of enthusiastic travelers like you. Thank you for visiting Sri Lanka, and we hope you have a wonderful adventure. Enjoy your travels, and we look forward to welcoming you again! ❤
Loved the start. Well done on that. Very professional! (And the graphic). Sri Lanka looks amazing - and those hotels are definitely not budget!! Look forward to seeing you share the road with elephants!
That blue flower, which we call Nil Katarolu (Clitoria Ternatea), is used as a natural food coloring and in desserts. We also make juice and tea from it, which are 100% edible with many health benefits 👍
Happy and Alive! Glad you recognised the camera's where too low - it was a weird angle it seemed as though Lavi was riding and standing for much of the time too. Looking forward to day 2!
Hola L&O, Woohoo! The adventure has begun! It's a beautiful country and I'm looking forward to seeing everything! Safe and happy travels! See you in the next one. Happy and alive! Lots of love, Sue. ❤❤❤
What a start for the trip I am surprised there aren’t more incidents wet roads poorly maintained vehicles a bike you don’t know with none of the safety features a lot of us are used to .On top of that erratic driving with no warning .Group riding with all that involves.Adventure eh ! ❤
Congratulations to you both on the start of your new adventure. I am super excited for you both. Enjoy every moment, happy, safe travels to you both always. 💕🌿🌸🥰🥰
Spot of bother with that bus there for a moment... glad that went well(!). Other than that, this is shaping up to be a very interresting journey. Lots of greenery, narrow winding lanes through the hills and the charming Royal Enfields... This is gonna be a good 'un, this is!
Wow yes that was a scary moment. Joe is so brave! Just wow what a strong person, she just got up and continued the journey ❤️ thank you so much for watching and see you in the next one 🥳
The Sun house was a residence of some rich man at one time but much later became a hotel. One of the bed rooms give a good view of Galle port. A bit further up passing Sun house there is Lady Hill hotel once a Christian monastery built during the early colonial period.
❤❤❤❤ you guys are so lucky but I also know how much hard work it is to do all that, and edit vids more or less every night. Look forward to the rest of the episodes.
You two are really glowing and shining (of course life is not only laugh and joy) but still in a really authentic way. I guess you know that not everybody is living like you are :) Just discovered your channel and wish you many more jofull journeys like in this video. All the best and stay blessed
Great tour. Sound and vid is great. Right bike for the right road. All good for upcoming ride. You ain't seen tuk tuks yet. Wear the horn out. Be ready for next round of riding. Friendly people. My brother spent time there. Orphanage. Helped with the Tsunami that hit a few years back. Lavi after the TET this dirt road stuff is nothing. All good from east Kentucky USA Nomad Mountain Man Next time
Glad to hear you think the quality is good, we are still making adjustments to the setup so it will get ever better (hopefully) 😁🙏 A great thing your brother did! and yes we are trying to remember to use the horns as much as possible! Thanks for watching!
The DJI set up is easier than that. After you connect the Mic 2 to the Action camera (it will show the volume bar when the Mic is connected), use this to set the gain. Most people set the gain inside the helmet to a negative gain to reduce peaking and adjust it back for off the bike. If the Mic 2 is connected to the Action, then it uses it for recording audio automatically. There is no need to hit the record button on the Mic. The Mic's red "record" led does NOT turn on when used this way (confusing, I know) but it does record on the camera. There is another setting that may help. In the wireless mic settings on the Action (only available when the Mic 2 is connected), there is a setting called "Audio-to-Video Sync". This confused me at first. What is seems to do, is record on the camera as it always does but it also records on the Mic 2 at the same time (red led DOES light up). Two copies of the same audio. The Mic 2 volume will be lower and at a lower bit rate (24 as opposed to 32) but can be adjusted in post. A lot of people use this as a backup audio in case the recording fails on the camera (lost connection or whatever). If the Mic 2 is connected to the Action camera, it should start recording in the camera when you hit record on the camera. If you turn on "Audio-to-Video Sync", it will start recording with the camera in both places (camera and on the Mic). Test out everything I've said here to be sure that I'm right but I think it is easier than you think. #ripGloveThumbs
You're right the mic does connect with the camera and record audio directly to it, the issue is how long this takes to happen, can take up to 20 seconds which unfortunately is too long to wait to start talking when we see something cool on the road. The other issue with using the camera to start recording on the mic is that when the mic is in the helmet we can't see the lights to know if it's recording so it's too risky if there is an issue with that we could be talking shot after shot and it records nothing. The only surefire way to know you have the audio recording is to press the button and feel the mic vibration (once for on twice for off) then we must sync the audio to the video later. Not 100% perfect but we have found it works :)
Great to see you back our on another adventure 👍🏽 Olly .... can you tell us about the spider story please ... I was amazed at the one you saw in uraguay 😮
Ride safe! Lavi, recommend to tuck those shoe laces in your boots for extra safety! I’ve seen people get those caught on the pegs/shifter/brake and tip over! Don’t want that!
Hi Lavi and ollie, I enjoyed your video, nice hotel your in,glad jo is okay after hitting the bus, no brake lights surely is illegal, I guess those tuk tuk's are sri Lanka's version of the uk's reliant robin 😀, I certainly hope you get to see some elephants 🐘 as they are my favourite animal .Take care, Best wishes Roy 👍 😊❤.
Hey guys, fantastic that you’re riding in Sri Lanka - we’ve visited many times. My wife’s cousin (and aunt) live there now after she married into the Perera family who own Mlesna tea! They have tea plantations (they call them tea gardens) all over Sri Lanka. Be sure to visit their ‘Tea Castle’ if you’re in the Nuwara Eliya area. If you get a chance to sample one of their many teas try ‘Loolecondera’ - it’s my favourite!
Thank you so much! Wow that’s so cool that you visited Sri Lanka so many times, I feel like there is so much to see you can spend a lifetime exploring this beautiful island! 🇱🇰❤️🇱🇰
So good you are in this wonderful place. I envy you😢. New adventures for sure, new haircut, but are you sure with this" extreme"adventure group? 😉 Joking ,just wish all the best 4u2!
When the X4 is on a stick, always keep it in a straight line with the stick. That way, the selfie stick will disappear in the stitch line, and it will look like the camera is floating in the air. However, I must say that, overall, your video is as close to perfect as can be from a "non professional". Keep on riding.
@@LaviandOllie It has nothing to do with "Me Mode". It's a particularity of Insta360 360 deg. cameras. When the camera is perfectly in line with a selfie stick, the selfie stick gets "lost" in the stitching of the images captured by both lenses. You don't need to have a lens facing toward you to capture yourself in the video.

When the X4 is on a stick, always keep it in a straight line with the stick. That way, the selfie stick will disappear in the stitch line, and it will look like the camera is floating in the air. However, I must say that, overall, your video is as close to perfect as can be from a "non professional". Keep on riding.
Yes that's called "Me Mode" we have to try it out! Still working on the setup trying to get it the best we possibly can 😁🙏
@@LaviandOllie It has nothing to do with "Me Mode". It's a particularity of Insta360 360 deg. cameras. When the camera is perfectly in line with a selfie stick, the selfie stick gets "lost" in the stitching of the images captured by both lenses. You don't need to have a lens facing toward you to capture yourself in the video.
