I enjoyed your overview, its very refreshing after all those reviewers trying so hard to shit on it for not being historically accurate. Once you see the visual design of the show, and depth of history they are portraying, its pretty much obvious that the show has no ambition to be anything like Rome, GoT, or even Spartacus... its supposed to be easy entertainment with Roman CGI in the background. Which it successfully accomplished. Lets see if we get the season 2. BTW, the Numidian girl wasn't gladiator, she was more like a dancer in gladiator costume for a fight themed dancing. I think it was pretty obvious.
I watched this Video because I couldn't be bothered to watch the rest of the episodes after Domitian confronts the lion in his cage. I think the writing didn't help develop the characters enough so in the end you didn't care what journey they go on.
