I'm so envy. Like how could they manage to do acting while studying, and their course is so tough. While me just only do studying, yet struggling and couldn't able to finished my school works on time though my course isn't hard as theirs.

I'm a fangirl for a very long time and not that so many of people whom I fangirl with finished college, but when I got into Thai movies and series I was so shocked that almost all the actors and actresses were degree holder! For example, Mew Suppasit. Not only he is a degree holder, he also has a master degree and now continuing his doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering.

He's sweet. It's interesting how those Thai actors do everything - study languages, get university degrees, set up businesses - all on top of their acting careers. I don't think this is usual around where I live. The people here are mostly either actors or something else. By the way, I don't remember ever dreaming in English. For me the moment I realized I didn't have any real struggles with the language anymore was when I stopped remembering in what language I had read or listened to something. I can quote movies or books either in Czech or in English now, because it is the message that is stuck in my brain, not the language in which I have received it. Last time I was the one writing down the lab meeting record, I was writing in Czech while the meeting was in English. I wasn't aware of it, the brain just translated everything for me. My colleagues asked me why I was writing in Czech and I didn't know. The funny thing is, I am often writing my own notes in English, because it's easier to think about my research in English (all the terminology is English, anyway), I guess my brain was a little bored by the meeting so it just throw some translation work into the pool of actions. My brain is weird. :)
I personally knew that my English improve the day I finally understood my anglophone roommate 100%.
And I have a friend who said that he knew when he got for the first time the order he commend in a fastfood. Haha everytime he messed up the pronunciation so would receive something different.
For me was when I watched a whole australian series without subs and I was like damn I didn't know I was that advanced
that's amazing how the brain works with languages, right?? im the same as toptap i knew my english is better since when i dreamed in english and when i watched a sci-fi movie with no eng sub but i understood the whole thing lol. and same as you! it's kinda more comfortable to write things in english than in my own native language. now, im improving my french. and thank god, it's getting better since i can watch a series with french sub now lol
@@dee2784 good luck with your French. Mine sucks - I have learnt it through high school and I understand, but I am far from active knowledge. I started learning Polish, Spanish and Thai, though. :)
Bcos they're rich and have rich parents usually relative to the ordinary Thai people. They may not be the richest but they are better off than most Thai people you see

@@flipflop4004 i use apps called drop and learn Thailand . I also have a notebook in which i translate sentences, words and songs! Sometimes i watch shows without subtitles! Hope it kinda helps!

Here in the Philippines. I think that the main reason why We Filipinos learned how to speak english it's because from primary school to secondary until college we used books that are translated in english, our teachers spoke in english too while discussing the lessons and one thing also (in my own perception) here in the Philippines if you know how to speak english people will respect you especially in the Big cities because it's a sign that you're an educated person..😢but now pure Tagalog conversation is no longer being use. TAGLISH (tagalog mixed with english) is currently dominating in our country.

To sum it up, the reason why we learn it is because the constitution says so. It is on the constitution to consider both Filipino and English as official languages for communication.
Main reason is because English is part of the main languages that the constitution recognizes apart from Filipino, Spanish, and Arabic. All documents, well government documents, should be written in English and Filipino and sometimes the other two. Just my two cents.
Being Hispanic I'm guilty of also mixing languages (Spanish and English) it's not that bad it's easier to speak both at the same time but biggest down side is speaking formally can be challenging

I’m a Australian Y series fan and English is my first language. I can’t understand Thai so like many international fans I rely on English subtitles for Thai series. They both have very good English. I don’t think English is hard but I think any language that isn’t your first language is hard because you’re not using it and hearing it naturally everyday.
Very True as my first language is English but I speak 3 other languages and when I don't use them for longer periods of time it take's me a while to remember and get my ears to re adjust.

Well I'm also from India and now India became the second most English speaking country. Talking about toptap I saw him but I didn't watch his series. I watched him in 2gether and really he is so down to earth in real life. I like his nature I saw some of interviews during 2gether and his ig stories he always gave chance to speak other members first. He is very cheerful person and also a very talented person. He is a very good dancer also.
