im 15 years old and i love woodturning i made 100 bowl blanks per wekk but my lathe broke and thats i like your videos i can always eatch some woodturning and funny videos
Tim, before you trimmed off the dowels, the piece reminded me of a hornets nest I cut down years ago. Also, the dowels was a unique way of solving a problem. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed!
I'm glad it stayed together for you, Tim. When I saw the time left while you were sawing off the dowels, I expected to eventually see pieces of the wood all over your shop. But it held! Bill
You crack me up Tim, is there anything that your unwilling to turn???? My lathe would handle that size, however, my heart probably wouldn't. Nice job, like the other guy said, nice garden fixture!!
I watched that whole thing to see how you achieved getting the beautiful blue color at the top of the natural edge. And you didn't even show it! Couldn't you have also filled those cracks with colored resin? Thanks in advance thanks for sharing
I have used the Elbo 2 several times now and I love it - makes it so much easier too! Wondering how does one sharpen the HSS cutters? Too small for my meat hooks - is there a jig that holds them in place?
I just knew you wouldn't be able to leave that one alone. It's like a bull dog. Ugly as can be but still kind of interesting. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.
I hereby knight you as "Tim the Brave". Glad that you did not try to thin the pot into a bowl. I've walked away from wood with wind shake because it can fly apart while rotating.
Great way to save it, turned out good
Wow, that was a great challenge! A for effort, looks good out in the garden!

I'm just glad to see the project to completion lol
Enjoyed the show.

Way to challenge yourself and mitigate the risks! The Robust had power to spare to turn that bad boy too.
beautiful piece of wood glad you didn't throw it out, you are brave. and now we know why you're always so happy..... keep sniffing the glues lol
I would have made a hand gernade if I had tried that. You are good.
Planning to do some "crotch pot cooking" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 sorry couldn't resist.
I'd like to thank my sponsor, Robust Lathes. Without them, all that glue would have dripped on the floor.

You would be surprised at how dumb I can be when it comes to turning things I probably shouldn't....
Favorite quote from movie Ski School. Taste death; live life.
