What you don’t change, you choose. That’s gold!
That drone shot for the garage was 🤌🏾
Matt this video just boosted my confidence. You didn't just address the successes, you spoke about the shortcomings. As a newbie SueBee, thank you for the reminder to not be "afraid of failure."
I literally fail at something every day, but it's how I choose to think about that failure that makes the difference. I choose to let it motivate me to learn more, rather than feel bad about it.
Thanks for sharing this amazing story. I truly respect the way you honor your father and keep his memory alive. I'm sure he would be proud of you. Best of luck, Ted in Sebastian,Fl
Matt! You should be a TV anchor or something! ;)
Matt, thank you for sharing! Hearing you tell your story and thought process along the way was soo aligned with my own. Great to hear what I think so often. Cheers to you!
Love this
Inspirational
Thanks for sharing, I am about to start my own studio and your story plus studio tour inspired me a lot. (Fuji shooter too 😁 )
I contacted you last year looking for a photographer with your style in Louisiana. I now see where you probably were sitting when you responded. A year later I am transitioning to portrait photography myself and your video is inspirational!!
Love your story. Love the way you have created yourself. I am not there yet but working on it. You inspire me.
Those courses are good. Have you investigated Professional Photographers of America (PPA)? Membership includes a lot of support plus equipment insurance.
I was the VP of the Maine PPA in 2019, am currently a PPA member, and believe in the organization. I just found more value for what I do in the Portrait Masters
thank you for an honest and fascintating insight into your photography business and history. Will certianly look to follow your work.
came to see the studio setup , but i stayed for the story !! totally resonated with me !!!
AMAZING Matt. Love your studio and energy:-)
Hey Matt, the brick wall that is in the background as you talking sitting on the stool is that real or is it a backdrop? Could you please give me some info on that please. Thanks
Matt this is so great to see your whole space and process. I am a fan of everything you do and hope to meet you at the TPM shootout in October! You inspire me all the time and I appreciate your transparency
Great stuff mate, our origin stories run parallel. Here's to your continued success!
Thank you!!
Hi Matt, thank you so much for telling your story...love the video especially you opening up about being more of an introvert and your struggles with marketing yourself...It's so inspiring to see how you have managed to overcome these obstacles..I love the area you've created with samples of your matted prints interspersed among the wooden crates, and I also love the poster of sample frame sizes....can I ask where you managed to find that, as it a great visual and saves so much space. :)
Very inspiring! Thank you!
Incredibly inspirational! Thank you and keep going 🤜🏻
Nice dog!
Great vid can I ask what is the pen tool called you used for retouching on a pad of some kind and hello from Ireland
Absolutely Fugi medium format. I Have you checked how Capture One renders color? I find it's better than Lightroom. I use Photoshop for upscaling, save as copy for jpg & save as for tif (prints). May not work for you, but it's an idea.
Yes I use Capture One when I tether but I don't get too hung up in small differences between C1 and LR. Lightroom is better for my post-processing workflow, but C1 is incredibly powerful. Different tools for different jobs.
So glad I never fell into the Adobe trap. Capture One is 👑
I just wondering how you can make such a big sale and get more and more client in such a small town....
I don't have any secrets. I just serve my clients with love and provide an experience that they value. The clients didn't arrive overnight, it took some time, but I just kept showing up and kept doing my best.
