I actually have that game somewhere. The pieces are actually well made and detailed but I didn't care for the "Poke' power" rules for double rolls. Also I Darth Maul's torso bothers you, you could always imagine it as chord-like robot hair.
In case anyone was wondering, no, Darth Maul's official transformer figure did not have that amazing grin on his face. The figure isn't even smiling. Meaning they didn't just slap the official Maul head on a tie fighter.
*Oak:* Ash... I am your father. *Ash:* No... that's not true... that fan theory makes no sense! *Oak:* Search your feelings, you know it to be true. *Ash:* ... NNNNOOOOOOOOO seriously, that doesn't make sense, shut the Hell up about it.
I'm only halfway through the video and already shared this on FaceBook. This is the funniest Bootleg Zones episodes since the dick-guns. I like to think Vader's eyes are popping out because he's surprised by Darth Maul's Hitler mustache.
Very funny episode! These guys really good material for this show. Especially the ending was great. To quote Team Rocket in the german dub: "Das war mal wieder ein Schuss in den Ofen!"
7:02 got that for a X-mas present with lego exo force striking venom. Was actually a pretty cool toy, even if Chewie was doomed by really thin connections at ankles.
Oh my god, that final confrontation with 3P0 and Vader! That short conversation is now on my list of best "Star Wars" parodies (up there with "Spaceballs" and the "Robot Chicken" spoof). You're funny when playing with the toys, but I also love this style of just having the toys standing in various poses with you voicing them over. That's a style that could work well. (Actually, I think that's what the old "Thomas the Tank Engine" shows did.) Well thanks for another entertaining video!
Ah. God of War MarsRobot Go was my favorite series. Kratos and Darth Vader battled as Pikachu tried so hard to keep Megatron out of the fight by electrocuting him for an entire episode.
I remember when C3PO won the Mars League, Ash always disappoints, I tell you, also, Surprised Vader and Mexican Darth Maul are my favourites (not offending mexicans, I actually have mexican ascendance, but Maul looks like a mariachi)
+Phelan Porteous "Deform(ation)" is the result of translating "Transform(ation)" into Chinese and back into English. Both words are the same in Chinese, translating to the same character.
I think you got the TIE fighters right when you put them upside down, the pilot hatch goes on top. Which makes sense, because you want to hide the parts that say "My armor sucks, they just draped a tunic over my TIE fighter.".
The reason these have "marsrobot" in the name probably has something to do with the walking M.A.R.S robot toys that have been around for years now. They had a spinoff series of transforming robot cars. By the way, those pokeballs are upside down, shrunken knockoffs of the old official poke ball toys that had elastic strings on the top.
C3PO - I am familiar with over 6 million forms of evolution. Vader - You don't know the power of the dark types. Trooper - Maybe it's another Horn Drill. Maul - At last we will have our revenge against the Elite 4.
In the case of Darth Maul its a crossover between Transformers, Star Wars, Pokémon, and Spiderman. He looks like James Jonas Jameson with that head sculpt.
Oh wow I actually have the genuine version of everything they're ripping off here The Darth Vader/TIE Fighter transformer, the poke ball capturing toy, and the little pokemon figures, that's pretty cool!
Phelan, you should try getting your hands on the monster Micky Mouse bootleg. I've seen it under Lucky Mouse and Mouse & Friends. A quick Google search of monster Micky Mouse bootleg will reveal all.
The pokeball toy actually was a real toy back when pokemon was still new. I had a masterball trap toy just like the one in this video. Only difference is it had accurate coloring and the pokemon it came with was the standard tomy/hasbro figures.
He was useful in making people expect more from him despite him being obviously a one shot character but people love the design and Ray Park so much they brought him back from being dead and made him all 90s Supervillain crap. @@RichardWatt
I had the stuff that's a bootleg of when I was a kid. I'm mostly sure the wings folded up. I think I broke it. Also, it was the darth vader that they ripped off, and that's a pretty good bootleg. It looks pretty much identical. I think the real version shot light sabers.
The pokeball toy is an almost carbon copy bootleg of a toy from the early 2000s. Except those had a string attached so you could throw them at the figure to catching it then pull it back to your hand; like how it sometimes worked in the show.
7:00 ish, the series that was originally written by the same guy as Samurai Jack, who met George Lucas, was told by him to do whatever he wanted with the clone wars series, he did, got fired, Lucas took over and the series tanked.
The little, yellow, translucent Pokemon look like they're molded after the figures from the Pokemon Monopoly game. I've had it since I was like 10, they're about that size, and all 4 of those Pokemon are in the game (along with a couple others).
Anyone else remember Crazy Bones? That's what the Pokemon remind me of. I did some googling to see if Pokemon Crazy Bones were ever a thing and apparently they were going to be but then got cancelled.
Wow, the wings are backwards on all of those! I'm guessing that's a quick way of telling if they are bootlegs or not hahaha. Just checked on the original one and they at least have the wings the correct way around. Also the original one shows the chest down so the hatch is on the top. Just more knock off "quality"!
Wow the Pokémon can ride aboard Their Tie Fighter modes, that’s pretty whacky.whoever built these obviously had way too much time on their hands. You always find amazing strange toys!
Maybe they were going for a brainmaster thing? Seeing the robot modes are hollow since you get the head out it looks like the pokémon are small enough to be put inside their robot modes
Darthatron: Ash, Obi-Prime never told you about your quest to become a MarsRobot Master. Ash Felth: He told me enough! He told me that being a MarsRobot Master is the right of all sentient beings! Darthatron: Nnnnnnnoooooooooooo, it's that we're bootlegs of three different franchises. Ash: No... That's not true! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! Darthatron: Search the Google Translate - you KNOW it to be true! Ash: GOOOOOOOOO!!!! Goooooooo...
i would like to see that crossover with star wars and pokemon only to have ash burn alive and put into a black life support suit to make him more awesome. BTW congrates on reaching your highest goal on patreon
5:30 it was!!! I used to have that pokeball!!! strange I cannot seem to find any reference online, but it was a real, it came with an elastic string so you could use it as a yo-yo to capture pokemon figures, it was pretty fun
The red ball kind of reminds me of a Cherish Ball (the pure red Poke Balls that event-distributed Pokemon come in) but that's likely just from being a completely red Poke Ball rather than any sort of effort. I suppose you could PRETEND it's a Cherish Ball if you really wanted to, though.
7:15 Hey, you forgot the show where he was taken in by witches and tried making his own empire or something! Don't give the Disney show all the credit!
1. i like they all have a yellow Pokemon 2. there is now a use for the GS ball 3. 5:48 for once in my life someone made a Pokemon bootleg that is a combination of star wars and transformers fun 4. MONEY< WELL< SPENT
"Now that I'm a TIE Fighter, I can become a Pokemon master!"
This is one of the greatest sentences I've ever heard.
Those pokemon miniatures are ripped strait from the old pokemon monopoly game, they were used as the game pieces
Oh nice! Should have known Uncle Oakybags was behind this.
I actually have that game somewhere. The pieces are actually well made and detailed but I didn't care for the "Poke' power" rules for double rolls. Also I Darth Maul's torso bothers you, you could always imagine it as chord-like robot hair.
they are the same as the Star wars "force powers" in the star wars edition and the "Special doubles rules in normal monopoly"
Not gonna ruin your 69 Likes, also Phelan should review the bootleg Pokémon figures Chzdtronic reviewed and tell us if he's part Native Inuit.
Well the molds anyways
"I finally caught a Pikachu, and all I had to do was sell out to the Dark Side!"
Oh, you have no idea...
I would have loved it if "Rise of Skywalker" ended with C3PO transforming into a TIE Fighter and revealing himself to be an Imperial Spy.
I pretty much watch these videos just to see Phelous play with toys.
I do the same
In case anyone was wondering, no, Darth Maul's official transformer figure did not have that amazing grin on his face. The figure isn't even smiling. Meaning they didn't just slap the official Maul head on a tie fighter.
Ah, "Darth Vader's Little Yellow Clefairy". One of the best Prog-Rock bands of the 90's

Oh, Chinese bootleggers, will you ever cease to amuse me with your strange ideas?
I'm only halfway through the video and already shared this on FaceBook. This is the funniest Bootleg Zones episodes since the dick-guns. I like to think Vader's eyes are popping out because he's surprised by Darth Maul's Hitler mustache.
Anyone have a link to the dick guns vid?
I legitimately want one of these, hell I want ALL of them!
I should be able to help :) Let me know where you'd like them shipped to?
Unfortunately, I've already spent far too much money on bobbleheads this month. I may have a problem.
YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE, C-3PO!
Ash: More like the frozen one.
Very funny episode! These guys really good material for this show. Especially the ending was great.
To quote Team Rocket in the german dub:
"Das war mal wieder ein Schuss in den Ofen!"

This bootleg is amazing I can't even
Oh my god, that final confrontation with 3P0 and Vader! That short conversation is now on my list of best "Star Wars" parodies (up there with "Spaceballs" and the "Robot Chicken" spoof). Is it just me, or does Darth Maul look like Eddy Murphy?
The Adventures of Tattoine Nash
Who thought this was a good idea?! It's beautifully stupid...
Most of the bootlegs are soooooo stuuuupid.
Heh heh heh...
Agreed😂
I actually like Darth Maul a lot in Clone Wars and Stars Wars Rebels.
the Darth Maul KO's head looks like if Steve Harvey was cast as Darth Maul
Darth Maul appears to be played by Al Jolson...
...oh, wait...those are teeth...
"Lord Maul, be mindful" "Mammy!"
0:33 Well, Mars is named after the Roman god of war, and it's red like a pokeball, and, uh... it has a multipurpose robot on it. So yeah, perfect fit.
Oh man, I want the 3PO or Darth Maul ones so bad. They fit my "soft Jar Jar" aesthetic so well. What a fantastic combination of elements.
Ah. God of War MarsRobot Go was my favorite series. Kratos and Darth Vader battled as Pikachu tried so hard to keep Megatron out of the fight by electrocuting him for an entire episode.
"Looks like Darth Vader's blasting off agaaaaaaain!" LOL NICE!
C3PO's ball looks like a messed up cherish ball...
I remember when C3PO won the Mars League, Ash always disappoints, I tell you, also, Surprised Vader and Mexican Darth Maul are my favourites (not offending mexicans, I actually have mexican ascendance, but Maul looks like a mariachi)

"Deform(ation)" is the result of translating "Transform(ation)" into Chinese and back into English.

Airship is awfully reminiscent of Backstroke too...
I think you got the TIE fighters right when you put them upside down, the pilot hatch goes on top. Which makes sense, because you want to hide the parts that say "My armor sucks, they just draped a tunic over my TIE fighter.".
And yet, still a better Star Wars product than the Force Awakens
Personally, I liked TFA, too...but I respect your opinion. :-)
I admire people who can enjoy all 8 Star Wars movies.
6:05 Oh, it looks like Darth Maul and Adolf Hitler used the fusion dance.
Darth Hitler? Adolf Maul? Dadolth Mitlaul?
"At last we will reveal ourselves to the Polish. At last we will have revenge."
Could have sworn I commented this before, but I believe the Pokemon are based on the rubber Player tokens from the Pokemon Monopoly set.
Mars needs Pokemoms
The reason these have "marsrobot" in the name probably has something to do with the walking M.A.R.S robot toys that have been around for years now. They had a spinoff series of transforming robot cars. By the way, those pokeballs are upside down, shrunken knockoffs of the old official poke ball toys that had elastic strings on the top.
Too bad they didn't make a Death Star painted like a Pokeball that transforms into Unicron! LOL
The tie fighter's wings are backwards, the longer segment of the wing is supposed to be to the rear.
its actually fitting that the storm trooper came with the go ball since neither can hit shit
Bootleg Maul kinda resembles a certain hated dictator from a certain World War when looking up close... That's really scary.
"That's not true! That's a continuity nightmare!" Haha, so true.
C3PO - I am familiar with over 6 million forms of evolution.
Vader - You don't know the power of the dark types.
Trooper - Maybe it's another Horn Drill.
Maul - At last we will have our revenge against the Elite 4.
Im sure someone else has pointed out but the Pokèmon is an Arcanine not Growlithe.
In the case of Darth Maul its a crossover between Transformers, Star Wars, Pokémon, and Spiderman. He looks like James Jonas Jameson with that head sculpt.
Get me more pictures of Jedi!
That Skywalker is a menace!
Darth Maul did get a robot pelvis and legs, that's almost like paying to have a robot made with your on a TV screen for a face.
"GET ME PICTURES OF OBI-WAN!"
"The Jedi! Are they a menace or a threat!? It's a trick question! They're both! Now go get me some Jedi pictures! Darth Brock!"
Would it blow your mind if these bootleg companies watched your show and took your criticism as advice on how to improve their item?
I'd love it if they put Phelous's face on a package and a blurb of something he said (or didn't) like a testimonial.
It'd crack me up to see that too, Yushatak!
As seen on UA-cam.
@@yushatak Bonus points if they somehow messed up his name.
Why did he open those? That destroys their collectible value. They are basically worthless now!
Nooooooo! Why? Why? *WHY?!?!*

Cause if he did they'd not only be worthless but also completely useless
Would have been a great video if I didn't open them. "Look at these! OK BYE!"

If the Disney Star Wars movies featured Tie Fighters that were Transformers, they would be much more enjoyable.

I think those wing-panel rhings are supposed to go on the back in TIE mode to give them a less bland texture and keep the non-stylised side up.

Huh... Darth Maul comes with the BS ball... I mean the GS Ball... no wait... I was right. Deformations Go!!
Also those Pokemon molds are taken from the tokens of the original Pokemon Monopoly, played that a lot as a kid
