    I love how you explain --and then show -- everything so clearly. Even your wording helps make qigong feel like something we can all try, rather than a mystical practice with weird names. Energy flow makes sense -- and so does all the rest of it. Plus, I can feel the benefits after just a few weeks of regular practice. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge here. Your humor and steady voice are also calming and helpful.

    Jeffery you are awesome! I love how you explain the movements & what it is for. I am a ChiRunning & ChiWalking Instructor & we talk about the Dantien & how we need to pay attention to our lower abdominals our Dantien to keep it engaged while keeping our arm , legs , shoulders, fists etc relaxed ...it was so funny to see that runner in the background as you explained as it was very fitting in my practice of ChiRunning & you explaining about the benefits of Dantien breathing....Thank you once again Jeff! You inspire! 🙏🏼

    the other exercises didn't work ,practicing dayly for two months ,now : playing with water ,tiger emerging ,for a calm and clear mind , etc... Now i know why ! It must be because i have a very low Dan Tian energy . So i must do the Dan Tian building practices first . Hope This IS HELPFULL for other people ,looking for relief . Greetings from Belgium .

    I practice dan ping (or tan pin cantonese), meaning "the pill of immortality". It clears the head and develops heat in dan tien. Instead if "hug the tree" position one needs to make a hook hand position with one hand and cover the hook from outside with open palm of other hand, making a circle at the height of the eyes. Middle point if middle finger of the open palm must touch the pulse at the wrists of the hand in hook position. You hold that position looking at that pulse point for as long as you can.

    Thank for the breathing technique. Does it matter if you exhale through your nose versus your mouth? On the inhale, do you want the sensation of your lower belly to rise and then on the exhale for the lower dantian area to come in?

    Very nice video. Question? Would you suggest breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth? Maybe is doesn't matter.

    Can you tell me the correct way of breathing in and out regarding the nose and mouth? I have been following along with some of your wonderful videos and always breathe in through my nose with mouth closed. I try and remember to touch my palate with the tip of my tongue. As for breathing out, I prefer to exhale with a small amount of force with my mouth open. Is this ok or should one exhale through the nose with mouth closed? Thank you!

    Great video :) I was wondering if a person should wait awhile after eating to do either dan tian breathing or hara meditation, or if they can continue on regardless :) Thanks in advance

      As long as you don't feel uncomfortably full, it's ok to practice after eating. If you feel full, just wait half an hour until the stomach empties. 🙂

    My Dan Tian has been gurgling for 2 days. I think I had too many sunflower seeds. Argh.

    • @ThinkVitalityQiGong
      @ThinkVitalityQiGong  5 років тому

      That's funny!
      Many people react to too many seeds and nuts. They can often be a trigger to digestion issues, migraines, and allergies if they are over consumed. Also, seeds can easily often become rancid in the heat, or sunlight.
      I hope it feels better soon :)
