Before cancellation, they were working on a moana & rouge one playset. The channel Infiniteer Adventures has a bunch of info about scrapped content from the series.
Me and my younger sister were obsessed with Disney infinity when it first came out. Genuinely such a fun creative sandbox game! I have a lot of great memories doing the most random shit in it!
Sorry for not talking about it, I wanted to include a lot more like the Asgard tower defence mode and more about the Interior mode but this video would have been way longer. I might do another video on the game going more in detail on specific game modes and the modding scene if people would be interested in that
disney infinity stays on top. its level creator was my first exposure to anything related to worldbuilding and i used to have a blast creating small stories around the areas i built :) my love for creating is probably rooted in the time i spent fuckin around in games like these
If they rebrand to make all characters and play sets playable give it an online mode where you can fight your friends in like a team mode and make a new mode the sales would go insane and take away the toys to life aspect
Man this brought back memories, i was a massive infinity kid. i was crushed when the games development got abruptly ended. I almost forgot how much i enjoyed this game and if it came back today lets say, i would totally play it.
Disney Infinity could have been fortnite before fortnite. Seeing all the various IPs together was the biggest draw for me and they could have had a multiplayer mode that wasn't overly complex, think DOTA but with the camera and controls of Disney Infinity. Imagine having 10 minute rounds where the goal is for one team to steal a power source like a battery and bring it back to their base. They could have used the vehicles and had light base building while the various enemies from the playsets could have been minions who roam the maps. I really do think the physical toys held it back, I enjoyed having the figures and I still have some at my work desk but having to budget toys into development costs had to have prevented other innovations.
I saw Disney Infinity 2.0 and 3.0 at a beach resort. There were 2 kids enjoying the game. One of them love playing as Spider-man, and other love playing the Lone Ranger level from the toy box takeover.
I'm so glad to see Disney Infinity starting to get more recognition. Maybe, just maybe, with a bit of dumb luck and proof that there is a demand for the game to return... The possibilities can be endless once again.
@luckaddiction882 admittedly I have almost no hope for this but I do notice more people coming out and saying: "Damn, I miss this game." If the demand starts to grow, Disney could rerelease it on modern consoles with similar functions to Gold Edition on PC. Additionally, they should also fix Gold Edition's lack of missing content, and add multi-player back into the games as the Gold Edition ports actively remove it. Again, chances are low, but what do you know, it could happen. Who knows.
I was never an Infinity kid growing up, but I hung around a lot of friends who were and have some fond memories in two player. Glad to hear that it still has fun times to offer for those looking for it, and can continue to delight people for years to come. Keep up the good work, and have a nice day.
I'm a bit late to see this vid but my nephew comes up to my room whenever he visits and asks to play 3.0 cause he likes Spider-Man and lightning McQueen, I'm trying to show him all the amazing stuff while he's interested in the game, he gets blown away when I make stuff in toy boxes
I still gotta pick up 3.0 on the PS4 because I want to play them again! But the toy box was my favorite thing I did when I played Disney Infinity on the Wii, 2.0 on the Wii U,and 3.0 on the Wii U in my opinion thanks to the Gamepad it makes creativity more easily.
It sucks Disney shut down all work on Disney Infinity 3.0 and the in progress 4.0, they were nearly finished with figures and play sets for peter pan and Maui. Disney Infinity 4.0 would have been that missing link between the potential a crossover like Disney Infinity was, where characters would interact in a condensed story throughout different Disney worlds. The beta footage we have for it shows Yoda and Aladdin journeying through Agrabah to stop some evil taking over the castle, with really fun interactions between the two and the main character (who could be any character from Infinity). I am sad the PC port of 3.0 didn't add the marvel sets or other characters because the battlegrounds set is easily the most unique we've ever had. It works as a top down fighter, with marvel characters duking it out in different locations with power ups and hazards. The animations in that mode really stand out, because every character, both new and old, get new creative special and killing animations that added so much more to the game. I was hoping for something new after Infinity was cancelled, but Disney did not want to be in the game-making space anymore, which is a shame with how much improvement to the combat and overall gameplay 3.0 had over the previous entries. I would have loved to see a clone wars game (that set is by far my favorite from the series), marvel game, something. I'm at least glad the studio that made Infinity went on to make more games, producing a decently popular game last year in Hogwarts Legacy.
I absolutely loved Disney infinity as a kid, I gave my cousin my 360 2.0 and a few characters and she loved it I still have my portal (it's USB connector broke off) and a few of my characters like Symbiote suit Spiderman and hulk buster, I need to buy the PC version And I wish TT Games would do something similar to the PC gold releases of Disney infinity, where you don't need he portal and irl characters/vehicles to play on PC, just good ol Lego gameplay, and more DLC
Disney Infinity was one of the best games I had fun with my then 4 year old brother when we were kids. I remember being excited for 1.0.’s release since the first trailer was announced. And I actually watched all the news insights before it came out, which was my first time watching beta footage of video games in their early builds. In fact, I was so excited for 1.0, that I was also excited for 2.0’s release as it was gonna feature Marvel characters, and vice versa with 3.0’s release including Star Wars characters as well. Funny story, I remember that I found out that my parents had already bought the Marvel Starter Pack from 2.0, for my little brother, who was crying over 2.0. Apparently, they assumed that 1.0. would be compatible with the sequels’ figures & play sets, luckily I told them about what 2.0 is and why it’s compatible with 1.0’ figures and not the other way around. Man, those were the days.
1:11 Ever tried to mod the Gold Edition to 3.0? Because I have, and I got the missing characters & playsets from the console version that weren’t even in the Gold Edition like the Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set.
I'd absolutely love to, it's a harder game to talk about than Disney Infinity so it'd be a bit longer. But I am really interested in doing it especially with all the different franchises they had involved there
I have the physical thing almost all the marvel characters the 3.0 marvel smash bros clone all of the Star Wars characters and a few 1.0 characters I also have the darth Vader ps5 that originally came out with boba fett which was the only way to get it
ey dude lm trying to play again just to recover memories and want to buy the 3.0 edition for ps4 but do you know if l can play it in a ps5 since they are compatible
I know this comment is a bit older but yes you can, I do the same. The only bad thing is you can‘t complete the rise against the empire playset due to a bug that comes with a main mission on endor just before the end. But everything else is just as good as it was. And the loading times are so fast too.

That sounds amazing, thanks for bringing that channel to my attention I'll check it out!

Same bro
Same
Same
Same, I feel like everyone who played this played with their younger sibling
For the pc version of 3.0 you can mod in the missing content and community made toybox areas.
The campaign for 4.0 was gonna include a story mode with every character
That sounds amazing! Would have loved to see it, especially since Disney Infinity had some pretty good writing compared to other games off it's type
Wow i remember loving this game it was a massive part of my childhood and im so happy to see im not the only one who loved this as a kid
Man I remember playing these games when I was younger and I just got a flash of memories from this video
I adored this game as a kid! I can't believe you didn't talk about the dungeon mode on the tutorial island, I spend dozens of hours in it
Sorry for not talking about it, I wanted to include a lot more like the Asgard tower defence mode and more about the Interior mode but this video would have been way longer.

Totally worth it, if getting it on PC, the game goes on sale on steam key sites really frequently

I always loved the interior mode my house was so insane i remember wish i could go back

This is a really good and in depth explanation of Disney infinity
I’m annoyed at myself for not playing this game more when I was younger
I'm so glad to see Disney Infinity starting to get more recognition. Maybe, just maybe, with a bit of dumb luck and proof that there is a demand for the game to return...
The possibilities can be endless once again.
I like how optimistic you are

The lightsaber combat was actually suprisengly deep
I've had similar thoughts on Disney Infinity being brought back with DLC characters 🤔 Would totally work

Also one of the mods lets you double the Toy-Box memory limit
Lovely and well put together video. Totally agree with your off the rails theory!! Epic games better pull through with the Disney deal
3.0 also has Dory playset
THIS GAME WAS SO COMP NEEDS MORE LOVE DUDE .
I'm still trying to Find the rest of the Figures
Believe it or not there were cancelled playsets for Moana and rogue one
I haven't watched Disney Infinity in years it was a good game when I was a little kid
Moana and Rogue One had cancelled playsets Infiniteer Adventures has a video list most all scraped content
Do you think you’d make a vid on Lego dimensions?
I'd absolutely love to, it's a harder game to talk about than Disney Infinity so it'd be a bit longer. But I am really interested in doing it especially with all the different franchises they had involved there

Disney infinity will always been one of the best games
They were gonna release a Moana player before it got cancelled
