It amazing how heavy duty stuff was made back then..you think that was a lost cause to get back to running.... but it worked...,,I had great memories helping my grandfather on mother side in 60s ,when school was out, tobacco, Corn and Cotton and Soybeans not big acreage ..and he did that with a Farmall Cub, A 8n Ford and H Farmall.and got a education in fixing stuf f. you didnt go to town unless necessary , you to learned fix or patch it. he had 62 Ford pickup and three on the tree..and the column shifter went bad...and he cut hole in floor board and took a tobacco stick and connected to linkage of transmission...and made a floor shifter....i told him grandpa i didnt know this thing had a Hurst shifter in it..joking..lol. .back then going to town was a event..Great Story Rick..
