The reason why they lost is because Gojo wasn't there. Heck, the whole arc demonstrates what would happen if Gojo is out of the picture. He is a safety net and his absence would put the heroes in danger since they rely on him too much. Furthermore, no one could really stop the disaster curses without the assistance of Toji and Sukuna, who caused even further damage. Plus, Yuji isn't useless since his attacks can actually damage Mahito, unlike Todo or Nanami. He's also a great fighter and shouldn't be taken lightly due to his lack of curse technique. Overall, your reactions are good, but your opinion about the heroes losing isn't good. Look at the love Empire Strikes Back and Infinity War gets and tell me I'm wrong😃😃😃

Although his physical body, he can fix that easily by manipulating the shape of his soul, making it look like he healed, so it really does no actual damage to him unless you hit his soul. This is not only explained in season 1, but it is reiterated multiple times throughout season 2. In fact, they literally explain it in every fight Mahito is in. And any hits he took that could actually damage his soul, he was simply strong enough to survive it. Also, Yuji was literally not born with a CT. So I don't see why him not having so many abilities is bad, it makes perfect sense. Also saying Yuji doesn't have good hands is wrong, as he literally uses martial arts in his fights. Also, what do you guys see as a good ending? I don't see the problem with the ending of season 2 at all. Just because there wasn't a big fight at the end doesn't mean it's bad.

Many people seem to forget many things about JJK for example many think Black Flash is a move in reality you can't use it exactly like a move similar to the Rasengan it's basically the equivalent of rolling two dice that happen to have the same high number by chance. This will then proceed to become a Black Flash and Mahito over the course of episodes learned how to do this simply by fighting Yuji and gaining the experience similar to how Nanami and Yuji jumping him gave him the concept of death that is how Mahito learned to do Domain Expansion in Season 1. ( The power system and scaling in JJK is complicated and it gets more complex as more episodes come out. ) For example there is a random character who's technique is whatever they find funny will come true meaning if they find themselves no longer taking damage to be comedic they automatically become immortal and damn near Gojo level even though Gojo is the strongest second to Sukuna.
I'mma be honest and this is no hate, I don't think Mikey and Aaron watched the same show I did, especially Mikey. Did they even watch season 2 to the end? I do feel they missed certain information from JJK. Yuji did end up using Black Flash in season 1 and 2, but the show clearly tells you when he used it and it's not something he can do on command either and it's not a skill unique to him either. Black Flash is just a critcal hit and heightens one's understanding of cursed energy. Yuji is also the only one who can damage Mahito severely, Mahito was strong himself too and even used psychological damage to break down Yuji and Mahito surviving was planned for a reason by Gege to set up the next step in "Geto"s" plan. At least hopefully this simplified any misconceptions. I think season 2 was great and amazing and the fights were awesome. Major props to the animators of course. Nothing was actually left on a bad note and this isn't a typical shounen, I think they just wanted Yuji to really stand out. Anyways, a lot of what happened was for a reason to boil it all down.

Yuji doesn't have an offensive technique (maybe), but his hands put him easily in high 1st Grade (likely special grade in the manga). He was fighting Mahito, so it didn't really look like it, but Yuji at this point is REALLY scary and can straight out kill most enemies with a punch. Also, 99% of enemies have no reasonable hope of doing any permanent damage to him between his absurd physical stats and healing. Also, he hits his enemies' souls (ironically, similar to Mahito) so he can kill enemies that most characters can't.
I remember seeing a video talking about JJK and how the story is DRASTICALLY different than what he wanted to do because the publisher wanted to change it, and now the author is just stuck writing a story he doesn’t want to make.

Yuji doesn't have an offensive technique (maybe), but his hands put him easily in high 1st Grade (likely special grade in the manga). He was fighting Mahito, so it didn't really look like it, but Yuji at this point is REALLY scary and can straight out kill most enemies with a punch. Also, 99% of enemies have no reasonable hope of doing any permanent damage to him between his absurd physical stats and healing.
Also, he hits his enemies' souls (ironically, similar to Mahito) so he can kill enemies that most characters can't.
I remember seeing a video talking about JJK and how the story is DRASTICALLY different than what he wanted to do because the publisher wanted to change it, and now the author is just stuck writing a story he doesn’t want to make.
