Steele finally won a game!!!! I guess the players remembered what he said last week😂. I can only imagine what John Lackey would’ve said or done if he was still pitching and had to deal with the team’s foolishness. Good win!!

Boni played great today, PCA should have been a DH..Morel needs to go back to the minors. Go Cubs Go!
Morel is what he is at this point. 30 HR, 80 RBIs. He'd be a little better/more consistent hitting if he had more good hitters in the lineup(he had much improved numbers and BB:K ratio when the rest of the lineup was hitting well early in the season), and pitchers had to pitch to him(now they just throw hard and outside, which he can't hit/struggles to go oppo with) and don't worry about walking him if he is patient, with no one to bring him in.
Suzuki's inconsistency, Swanson's awful season, and Hoerner taking a dive this season are killing the rest of the hitters. Morel needs to improve, just not sure how much of a ceiling he has beyond this.
PCA had 4 stitches on his thumb. He stole a base and his thumb hit defender cleats.

Its the new catcher movements that people have not noticed yet.. When the catchers frame a pitch these days they move the glove up and in towards the batter so it makes it look to the umpire that it is a strike. Watch all the new and younger catchers they all do it now. I do believe at some point it will not be allowed but as for right now it is the new thing they are doing.
