I sat scrolling on my phone before my high school’s dance performance. I yawned and I kicked my feet, slouched in a chair in the performance outfit. The dance performance went on and I went to go meet my older sister, who I lived with, in the hall. I was stopped in the doorway and pulled aside. I looked up from my phone, a nice lady standing there. “Uh-“ I looked at her, many people flooding in and out the doors behind us. “Hi! I saw you’re dancing back there.” She spoke very, business like? “Have you ever thought of joining the JYPE entertainment industry?” She questioned. “I don’t kn-“ I said. She shoved a buisness card and note in my face and walked off.
That night me and my sister sat eating some ice cream as a treat after the performance. We both sat silently on our phones. I coughed to break the silence “Hana?” I asked “Yes Clara?” She responded. “So..this lady stopped me in the hall and gave me this” I handed her the business card, the note still in my pocket. She scanned over it. I decided to hand her the note as she read it out loud “Congratulations..you’ve been invited to join JYPE entertainment as a trainee, if you’d like to take this offer come to the JYPE building at 8 am tomorrow. Good day!”. “So?” I smiled, twiddling my thumbs. “So go?” She said. I had expected a no. “Really?” I smiled. “Yeah, I’ll drive you there, it’s a long ways from our apartment.” She said.
