@@happygilder Its neat stuff on glass. Each coat you add changes the appearance much more than paint will. Cleanup is a bit of a pain, you may need to either get naptha or a varnish remover. The regular white spirit/mineral spirit does not always cut it. All the best!
I got perfectly how to do the crackle effect, the one thing i didnt quite understand, is the crackled glasssss heehhehe, just kidding buddy, you are the best!
Very cool! It is a very authentic look. I also enjoy seeing the mistakes, as it is honest and relatable. Keep up the great work, very inspiring.
Thank you! Cheers!
Paul I think the break in it adds character, lends itself to actually being old. Good show!
That's what I like to hear! 😆 Thanks!
Thank you Paul. Always look forward to Sunday morning!
Cheers Donald, I'm really glad you enjoy the vids! :)
Beautiful antique look
Thank you!
Great work again Paul. The crackle product with the ochre and white paint pair together well.
Thanks very much!
I can't find this product in the USA. What are some other products that would work?
You make really cool stuff Paul!
Thanks very much!
Danke dir, Paul!
You're welcome! :D
Good job , it gives out a nice crakle effect.
Thanks!
that'll buff right out!
😂
Ever tried to rub in some asphaltum/bitumen black? It has a really rich brown/gold. You can gild against that too.
I haven't tried it but I've got a couple of tins of Asphaltum so I'll give it a try. Cheers!

When did you paint the letter red? And did you do it freehand without vinyl?
The mirrored line acts as a border so you don't need to have a steady hand :)
Thanks!
Thank you so much Donald!
That is a sandblasted background, correct?
My bad. I just heard your intro description.
Thanks Paul.
i actually kind of like that its broken, it adds to the antiqued look.
I'm not sure there's much of a market for the 'broken' look. If there was I'd be quids in by now 😂
Wonderful technique! Do you think this could also be achieved using water-based enamel paints?
Thanks! Yes I think you could achieve the same effect with any type of paints.
Nice job anyway!
I recently did a mirror with and after I applied the gold leaf my mirror developed brown lines throughout the mirror why would that have happened
I'm not sure why that would have happened. Are the brown lines underneath the gold leaf?

The cracked glass technique is a heavily guarded secret. If I show how to do it, I’ll be expelled from the magic circle 😎
Oh no! I don't suppose that crack will buff out. Nice patina though.
Cheers Mark! The crunching sound of the glass suggests it'll be tricky to buff out 😄
cool!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!!
Thanks!
Thanks you very much!!! 🙏
