Fun fact the actress who plays Iris didn't hear the final song until grant sang it so that is her real reaction to the song
no, she heard it on the rehearsal but not before and she GENUINELY cried in rehearsal when she didnt have to because she was really touched and the whole crew were emotional too

Im not into musicals, but Flash pulled it off brilliantly. It wasnt action packed, but there was enough action to keep me interested.
Same im not into them as much but i do like some but this was great for a lot of reasons and there reaction to it made me smile so cute
I'm only interested in musical episodes of shows, rather than musicals as a genre.
It didn't hurt that each of them has a musical background and can we talk about the Glee reunion lol. Its funny though, you can always tell if someone used to watch Glee or not by their reactions to Barry and Kara singing. Both are Glee alumni , but those who haven't watched it are surprised at how good they are.
I love that they nailed this. This was like an experiment that worked in it's first trial run. I wish they'd go for it more often and make it into an annual event

whenever you hear Barry sing the chorus, you can hear The Flash Main Theme, what a perfect combination. Blake Neely did a great job with these songs.

I was so embrassed 12:12 because at age 13 and 14 I was so obbessed with the musical that that song actually comes from Guys and Dolls look it up and rent it 1955 movie if you have never seen it.
I think it's his Legion of Superheroes ring (which one of is in the fortress of solitude right now), that gives him the power of flight and some other things.
Yeah, there are some images of them being IN the fortress on the next episode of SG, so I'm ASSUMING he puts it on there or something...

I'm like this jaded 55 year old tough guy from New York City, and I was crying like a little girl during "Running Home to You". Brianna, your sister totally lost it during that lovely serenade when she reacted on her channel yesterday. That was a fun episode! And that was a great song, and Grant performed it sooo well.

Honestly I don't know if it was the songs, the actors, or everything in between, but my inner theatre/musical theatre kid broke free and all the memories of performing in High School came rushing through my mind. This was so beautiful and I could not wait to see you guys react to it.

my only issue is they kinda underused their best talents, like Jeremy Jordan was a tony nominee for newsies and I think he should have gotten a song himself

I just wanna here Barry say "Be there in a flash" and make more flash puns in Season 4. It would be cheesy, funny, a little cringy, but cool and comic book-y all the way
1) I saw a clip of Karamel getting back together in my subscription feed and thought that that part would ruin the episode for me, but, even though I hate Karamel, I'll admit that them getting back together was handled quite well. It's definitely too soon, so I doubt Mon-El will learn anything from it, and I'll still hate Karamel, but at least it was handled well.
2) Candice Patton (AKA Iris West)'s actual reaction is what you see in the final scene.
3) Anyone else notice that Mon-El's character - the son of Merlyn's character - was named Tommy?

I actually cried during this episode, and I don't usually cry and musicals. But the songs in the show was so good and I knew that Brianna was going to react heavy and hard to Grant Gustin singing "running home to you". I'm gonna try and do a singalong version of that song and post it here soon
