Thanks for the video. I have no issues recording and saving as a mp3 @192kbits/s using Free software called "SoundWire Server". Which allows me to record what I hear thru my pc speakers. However I think the RCPlus software needs a update to allow use of custom sounds as a engine as well. For now it will only install in that one location. Also I can't seem to get the Brake Sound effect to be triggered. For $70 I sure hope they make some improvements cause I can't highly recommend this without first telling people the limitations on using custom sounds. Sound quality is the best available at this time (that I'm aware of) but they really need to add more updated sounds and or improve the so called Sound Editor which is nothing more then a file format converter.
Do you think this could be used in a power wheels kids ride on electric car. I'm building a recovery truck for my grandson to drive around and sound would be great.
I can be done but you'd need an ESC & 6 cell Ni-MH battery or even a lipo & a charger. The hard part is how to control the ESC. You would have to come up with a way to control the ESC as you do with a radio control car.
I was in contact with the company after making this video because things weren't acting right. I was told you have to use their sound library. However the sound will vary with throttle positions. It would be really great if they updated the software to make full custom sounds.
@@TheCleaner6969 I tried to make a file with the sound I wanted, it would let me choose my file , but it asked me for a target device, I'm assuming I need to actually buy one of their sound kits just to see if my file even works. Pretty disappointing for being the most recommended sound kit and not getting any support or updates. Ironically their buisness name has the word innovation in it but haven't seen much of that since the product was released. I saw they did a custom horn for someone but thats about it.
@@evanstrain5808 Yep you need the sound system first but even after you get it, it doesn't work. I contacted support & they are horrible. I was told you can make sound but they can't be used with the sound system. It is the best ones on the market but they really need to up their support like you said.
I contacted the company & I was told there's no way to make your own sounds you can only download from their library. I suggested they write some code to allow the end user that option.
@@TheCleaner6969 ok thanks, i foubd a website wich can decode binary data files. But those rcx files arent possible to decode, cause they are 13 bit but normaly there only 12 and 14 bit
@@TheCleaner6969 with the reely module, cant do any custom sounds so i bought one from HRC. But with this you could do only custom sounds like horns. The support said to me its impossible for us. So i set up a custom start up sound on this auxilery channel and tool a engine sound wich sound nearly the same. But you have to choose, horn or custom startup but not both
I'm trying to put a machine gun sound in an armoured car, the one they have is bad, I will probably have to get one from the Elmod board I own, will see...

brake sound only works if you are full throttle then slam the brakes and hold

So could you add custom turbo noises to the diesel engine sound? Like a 7.3 wicked wheel noise? Would the sound vary with the throttle positions?

I used my horn. They really could update the sound.
@TheCleaner6969 they definitely should, all other professional boards like elmod, ibu or beier, they let you customise as you like
