I live in Madison. Always wondered about that vacant road and the bridge. didn't know anything about Number 2 school house, very interesting. Keep up the great work! really enjoy History in MY Own Backyard.
Yes, I'm familiar with that bridge. Isn't it cool! Here's a link to a video I did on that bridge and others in Switzerland County: historyinyourownbackyard.com/video/lost-bridges-switzerland-county-indiana/
The music choice is wild. I felt like i was watching a fishing show, than a random encounter in an rpg. It was a great video though, short and to the point

Glad you like the project!
Cool, I may visit it on my next trip to beautiful Madison, Indiana, thanks
You're welcome!
Mid 80s, us kids used to camp out on this bridge. Wonderful memories of just being innocent dumb teenagers.
Good time to growup.
There is a ghost or phantom bridge in Switzerland County just west of the intersection of Hunts Creek Road and IN 156. It's still visible from IN 156.

I've been in and out of the Madison area for several years, and have lived in Madison for 3 and a half years, and I haven't heard of this old bridge.
Well now you know! :)
@@historyinyourownbackyard2363 would this bridge be anywhere near the abandoned rail road in the downtown area?
Hey, Glad to see people appreciating our town. I was born and raised here, and I must agree it's quite beautiful.

Great video! Is this on private land, or can we explore? I would love to see it for myself!
I mean there's a sign but nobody goes there
It's on public property. It's part of the park land I'm told.
