    Great video! Fry are always the cutest! I have a few Platy Fry right now but they seem to be stunted in growth, any idea why?

      Planet Fishness it’s possible that they are in too small of an environment or that they aren’t receiving all the nutrients they need for proper growth. Hard to say without seeing them. Try a bigger tank and make sure you are feeding good food many times a day. Thanks for watching I hope this helps

      Thanks man I appreciate that! Yeah I am already working on a diy polisher that uses a 1000gph powerhead. Should work pretty well! And yeah green water sucks to look at but the fish love it. I netted a few of the bigger fry and they are already starting to show color, even at an inch or so. Pond is working lol. Hey man, always great to have you stop by. Thanks for watching and commenting bro! Have a good one

    Between the low temps here and the raccoons I could never do this but.. Would love to. Cool idea man it would be cool in the summer to sit outside and watch them.

      Larry R it is fun to watch them, plus they grow extremely fast with that much space. Every week they change. So does the pond. And yeah, most people do this in the summer but here in Southern California it doesn’t get all that cold and that’s the only reason this works. Thanks for stopping by and watching! Have a great day!

      @@allaboutdiy1375 Very Nice. I'm here in So. Calif. and would like to do this with my africans. What is the average temperture of the water ?

    • @allaboutdiy1375
      @allaboutdiy1375  5 років тому

      Anthony H over night being that it’s been cold lately, it drops to about 76 degrees. During that day it gets back up to 78-79 degrees. I have 3 heaters in the pond tho. Total of 800 watts. I hope this helps.

    Hi bro can i expect to grow Out my small chichlids in these small setups?
    I want to put like 20 different kind of selected chichlids. Nd grow em into their max size. So my question is is it possible to grow that big in this tank?

    • @allaboutdiy1375
      @allaboutdiy1375  Рік тому

      Absolutely, it all depends on the size of the tote, the type of fish and also how many fish you put it. For example, if I wanted to grow out Oscar’s in a 275 gallon tote like this one I would get 4 or 5 as babies and feed them 3 times a day with high protein foods. If you wanted to grow out jack dempseys you could get 10 or so. It all depends on the full grown size of the fish really. The more space they have and the amount of quality food they get determines how fast they grow.
