Cal Poly's Mustang Band blasts an exuberant soundtrack that lights up our campus with its catchy cadences, undeniable passion and well-coordinated flair. With roots back to 1916, its one of the longest-running student organizations operating today. The Pride of the Pacific! The Cal Poly Mustang Marching Band! As a former Chops Section leader back in 1989 and President of the Band I am proud to be part of the history of this fine organization. We may have been only 11 trumpets in Chops, but we were the loudest on the field and in the stands cheering for our teams. Every march from the music building to the stadium, we made it known to ALL we were about to have some fun every rehearsal and every game day. Keep it up!
