I've got back issues and had back surgery in 2020.. I have been sleeping in a hammock for 2 years and 8 months. Best sleep I've ever had and you don't wake up stiff or sore. Those solar showers work great just add a tarp so your feet don't get muddy
That was an excellent video, hoping to detour by Sturgis on my way form Illinois to Beartooth highway, onto Yellowstone, finishing in Ridgeway Colorado before heading back. Have about 9 days to experience it all. Motogiant, Scotti and your content has been inspiring the past several years. Keep up the great work and hopefully it never ends up feeling like work.
We had a great camp site there in the aspens. Enjoyed getting to spend time with you and Scotty in camp before I had to boogie back East. See you down the road Joe!
the other side of the pond could be to come to ride with me in Europe...sceneries are a must from the Mediterranean cost to the Alps, Tyrol to Lithuania, back to the fjords of Norway, riding down to Spain and enjoying the Portuguese Bacalao...French food and wine, sumptuous encounters of the old world civilization ...lets make it brother
Another great video. Great to see you enjoying that bike, NC750X is so under appreciated great all around machine. Looking forward to your next adventure
I agree, if rides are starting to be the same. Jump ship. I took a bit over a year for world MC travel. Central America. Shipped to Hawaii, then to New Zealand etc. Then to all of Europe. Swiss & Austrian alps, The Pyrenees mountains the dolomites. Island of Corsica Sardinia. Etc etc. Etc. Take a full book to tell it all. Do it while your young.
I've got 5 years and some change before the youngest is out of high school and when that happens I'm bound and determined to ship my bike to Sweden and ride around Finland etc. They have a really cool chopper history and scene.
Joe, I met you briefly at camp just before I had to run because it started to rain on my open saddlebags. It was cool meeting you. Thanks for making all these entertaining videos.
My first experience watching your videos. Just Blown away listening you talk about my bucket list adventure in such a ' been there done that attitude' makes me want to say F it I'm going. Thanks for taking me along. there's always a hundred reasons that keeps us from taking the plunge. Working 60 hour weeks and still not having the cash is the biggest.
Great video. Been bingeing on all the past videos. You need to get back to Mexico and see Lily again, some of my favorites are you two together sampling the cuisine. Be safe,
Great video Joe! I particularly enjoyed the antique machinery segment. If you find yourself closer to home at the right time of the year, there is a similar show in Kinzers Pa which is just outside of the town of New Holland PA. If you love machines, these shows are fascinating. To think that these machines were once on the cutting edge of technology. Before may father passed on, I would always go to these shows with my dad. It brought back some memories. Thank you Joe.
Definitely one of your best Moto vlogs. Great find on the dirt road to Spearfish. Now I gotta wait a year. The road back in Camp 5 was also a great find. Another on the to do list. You got bigger ones than me to ride Scotty's bike. That's a "you gotta have the feel" bike for sure. One of your top videos. Keep 'em coming.
Another great video… I really liked the threshing bee segment, I have 3 old tractors that would fit right in there. The motovlog was cool too. Tks for sharing Joe.
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond hey Joe, if you like to see old equipment at work check out my latest video. I cut my firewood with an antique buzzsaw passed down to me by my Dad.
I think those were something similar to Cliff Swallow nests under the overpass in the rain. They are all over Montana and South Dakota too, apparently. Cool birds.
Hard core Gary is a real good dude I was honored to meet and hang out with him.Really great video Joe hey have you ever been to the cave above camp 5? You can see it from your road
Great Great video Joe really enjoyed it that 29 minutes went by seemed ask in 2 minutes great stuff hope I get to meet u and Scotty one day ride safe brother
me too. I woke up in my tent Thursday morning, sick as a dog. I didn't get up until Saturday and didn't start feeling better until Tuesday. food still doesn't taste right to me yet.
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond Oh man I was down hard for a few days. Glad i had my window ac in the van and generator :) Hopefully you were able to chill out if you needed to. my taste and smell are still only like 50%
Joe, thanks for the preview on the dirt roads. Never been on those. Guess I’ll put them on my ride list when I’m out there….if it’s not raining. Ride safe and thanks for posting.
Liking the videos Joe deadwood looks like a cool place Joe you should put a 50/50 tyre on your bike if your doing more gravel roads it also depends on the tyre to great video 😎👍
Hey Joe good to see you...be safe if you're ever in eastern North Carolina look me up but I probably be hitting the road some time don't know where to go just gonna go be a Road Dog....
Joe, that GoPro with the mic setup sounds great brother. I hope one day you make it out to Southeast Asia, Bangkok for sure. Don't forget about India and also the Himalayan mountains. Don't forget to also give us a vlog trip in Europe.. Great to see Scotty's doing great man. I mentioned to him in one of his videos that he needs to marry that good woman Vita, he said never no way 😂😃. Safe travels brother and God bless you.
I am a subscriber and have a question for you that I believe you can answer..myself (70 years young). And two other guys are leaving Florida on the 1st of October and headed to Nicaragua on KLR650’s..I would like to know which border crossing would be best Brownsville or McAllen..We will be following the coast all the way thru the Yucatán and into Belize..And then into Guatemala, Honduras and then into Nicaragua..Any help you would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like a great trip 👍🏻 With any border crossing, I recommend NOT doing it on a holiday lmao. I prefer Anzalduas, other side of Mission, TX. If you go in the morning on a non-holiday, you'll probably get through pretty quick.Cool place in Guatemala, if you check out the tikal ruins, you can park your bike/ tent under a palapa. Cool town called Poptún not far with a hotel called Finca Ixobel where you can camp as well. Might see ya down there 💀
Hi Joe, really enjoy your videos. How are you finding that bike for touring fully loaded? I was considering an old goldwing, but I could get the dct version of your bike (much younger bike and twice the mpg has me tempted). So curious as to your thoughts. Lookin forward to the next video. Dan (N.Ireland)
Coming soon! Well, my expectations for the NC were rather low, but the gas efficiency was the selling point. That said, I;ve been consistently impressed at how well she carries the weight of all my camping gear. To be frank, the goldwing would do it much better, but you'll be trading a lot in other areas like manueverability, off road capabilty, etc. There are times I'd really like a goldwing lol. Other times, not so much. Cheers ✌🏻💀
Neetoo ......🏍️👍🖖😊
When I lived in IN I used to follow the steam engine show circuit.
I love the hit and miss engines and especially the big steam tractors.

Those water bladders are great to have at camp, they take up very little space.

Cool to seem some of those roads dirt/gravel roads you were on. I had my first taste of riding dirt/gravel roads a few weeks ago. Enjoyed it.

Hey I was going to come find you guys but ended up getting Covid the last day of the Rally so I just ended up hunkering down for about a week.
me too. I woke up in my tent Thursday morning, sick as a dog. I didn't get up until Saturday and didn't start feeling better until Tuesday. food still doesn't taste right to me yet.
I think I had it before I left for Sturgis. Felt like a sinus deal but lasted 3 wks, lost taste for a couple days
