Good two out of three... Phebe might have been robbed though.
I don't believe for one minute they decided to bring Liam on their own. I am pretty sure there was a public outcry that demanded that he, and many others, were eliminated because of the incompetence of the judges. So in order to salvage the "reputations" of the so called "expert" judges, they brought back one of the actually qualified artists. Unfortunately they couldn't remove some of the inane choices of finalists they made.
I agree some of these finished ones were hideous. Looks like a five year did them.
'Narrative' - load of tosh. I hate when critiques feel they have to talk about something that clearly isn't there.
I wish the judges weren’t so condescending sometimes; perhaps they should sit down and show the artists how it’s done. Also, for goodness’ sake find a new vocabulary, I’m tired of hearing ‘painterly’, ‘undone’ and the deadly ‘narrative’.
Dont' forget the word "dynamism" LOL
