i’ve flown mco to gatwick and back on virgin in 2017, but next week i’m trying out norse for the first time and im looking forward to it! appreciate the video, it was great :)
Dam that landing was SMOOTH
i heard it terminated service and all the places including the website ay that but the sign is still up at the baggage drop so im confused 🤔
Unfortunately, Norse Atlantic Airways has come to a stop for flying to Washington DC from London Gatwick because they didn't have demand from DC area Travellers and are willing to get more network expansion like London LGW towards New York JFK doubling more weekly flights and launching flights to Las Vegas and Athens toward New York as well which Norse decided to focus on more other routes between the U.S. and Europe next summer. so it won't come back.
They are currently still scheduled, but are very rare. They are due to fly into Dulles again on April 7th. After that however, it's hard to tell.
hey, sorry to ask but which seat did you have?
Well this is a first for me. I normally enjoy your model aircraft content. Never seen a trip report. Norse Atlantic is a brand new European airline.
Norse CEO is the former CEO of Norwegian 😊 Bjorne Tore Larsen, nice bloke.
What Norse had said before they started out, was to start small and then expand. Norwegian moved too quickly and sadly, ended up packing up their long haul routes.
It will be nice to see where else from LGW they will fly 💪🏾👍🏾.
Great stuff Norse… now can you put flights into the GDS!😂
Mate fantastic trip report I wish I could fly Norse
Love the Norse livery! Hope to fly with them soon.
@@Aviation18 Only bad thing I've heard is that they often cancel flights last minute...
I flew to gatwick and back And To me any flight is good. The hot food on the plane was good But it was $20 a person. But its definitely better than spirit where i experienced a 9 hour delay.
They're definitely not exceptional, but considering their price, they're really good
love the vid as usual. I honestly had Norse all wrong, this is how a low cost carrier should be.
Great flight review! By the way, I couldn't help looking at that Alaska's A321neo special livery at the end (pretty sure my eyes didn't deceive me)... 🤪
Absolutely, this was recorded shortly before they were retired, so it was a pretty cool catch...
From what I can tell, Norse is for cash ticket purchases only.. Does anyone know of a points/rewards transfer partner?
Hi Joe! Love your content mate ❤ One question, how does a plane become trans?
They unfortunately cancelled this service alongside Boston, San Francisco and even services to the Caribbean
For long haul flights (I hope to do soon) I prefer First or Business Class. However some US airlines have what are known as Economy Plus seats. That means economy seats with more leg room. And more leg room I need for a domestic or soon a Trans Atlantic flight mainly aiming for Portugal. Because my family is Portuguese. I also don’t like being seated towards the back of the aircraft as I’ve experienced lots of turbulence that only so far once made me puke. That happened on a US Airways flight from Washington Reagan to Tampa. But I don’t blame the seating accommodations. Nor do I blame the turbulence. The blame was on some weird tasting breadsticks I ate while slowly boarding the plane. I’ll never make that mistake again. Still even long before that on Southwest Airlines flights, I was always in back because I was always assigned B group. Even though I hardly had anything to eat, when landing either in Orlando or Providence, all that turbulence made me want to puke. Felt so much nausea. Landing is tough though.
I think everyone would prefer First and Business but unfortunately it costs a lot more. For cheap fares, Norse are definitely the way to go
Norse does offer premium seating. I can’t tell if it’s like Business or First Class? However definitely not at a cheap price. The most luxurious classes are always pricey.
No its NOT worth it
Some of you may have been lucky. For me...Never Again with Norse!!!!
JFK via London Gatwick:
-When you get to the JFK Norse Airways counter they make you fit your bag in a small container and it barely fits because of
your suitcase wheels. Sorry that will cost you $140 now. If you break the wheels of the suitcase then it fits. What a scam they running.
-Each Suitcase costs $140 if you check it in under the plane.
-Carry On is $85
-Charging port is hidden under seat, and the power cuts off every 25 min
-You can't fit a medium size laptop on your folding table, the seat is not stretch out enough, a tablet is preferred. Bad Boeing 787 design.
-They won't even come up to your seat and ask you if you want something to drink
without paying for it first on the seat screen.
-You have to pre-pay for your seats
-They finally gave us water in a cup and tasted like Chlorine, nasty taste.
Thank you for the report. Striked a deal for a cdg- lax return flight for eur99
