A cab from the airport to bucerias is cheaper than using your own vehicle and paying for tolls
@@ajmeier01 as it turns out you need to show your $226 receipt to the $455 peso toll booth and you will not get charged. However, no one explains that to you. In the end $226 is not a bad price for the drive to Vallarta.
New Hwy seems to benefit the middle/upper class citizens of Guadalajara that would like to visit the coast. Mission accomplished. Apparently from La Cruz to outskirts of Guadalajara it's roughly 2.5 hrs and will cost around $1,068 Pesos. Bucerias should see positive economic results, if growth is positive? I don't think Bucerias to the airport was a concern.

For 2-3 people its cheaper to fly from GDL assuming you don't need to use a car much once you arrive in PV. Crazy!

I’ve seen where this road lets out near Home Depot. Joel, where did you get on? Does the new toll road connect to the toll road near the La Cruz turn off?
Yes. That’s both the entrance and exit that connects vallarta.
Hi, that’s price is standard. The toll road “Tepic to Mazatlán” is the most expensive in the country it costs around $1,150 pesos to vehicles…
Bucerías to PVR is 18 km. Tepic to Mazatlán is 275 km. There’s confusion now on cost. The problem is there’s two toll booths. in the end then cost is 226 which is fair. However you need to show the $226 ticket at the PVR Caseta to not pay another $455.
Thanks Joel! Watching this video ( and not being scammed) has paid my youtube premium into mid 2025!😅

@@bucerias_Joel Thanks for clarifying. I thought I saw a post on a reduced rate for locals went looking for it after I saw your video and couldn't find it.
An off topic idea: why don’t you do a vid exploring and asking if bucerias golden zone is getting too crowded? Be interesting to hear various perspectives. Cheers!
Great idea. Man on the street.
I agree with you Joel looks like a big scam
Why do you say that
@ because the cost of the toll is way to high for the distance he travelled

How much would this trip cost if you had the EZ Pass, or whatever it's called?
it should be $226 x 2. YOu need to make sure you show your tickets to not pay extra or get a refund. Unfortunately a bit confusing
I havent drive that new toll road yet.. BUT.. It is pointless to have 2 toll stations if there´s no way to get in or out between them, I heard they will substract the first payment if you show the ticket on the second one.. This will need an investigation...
Yes. You are correct, or so I am told. If you pay the $226 when you leave Bucerias and show them that ticket at the midpoint tollbooth, they will not charge you the $455. However, they do not explain this anywhere. So you need to ask.
@bucerias_Joel viva México.. if You don't ask You get the gringo price..
