Partied with Daum handful of times in B.C and always was impressed with the big goon....once watched him swimming in a gravel parking lot

CDs don't wear out. If you live next to the ocean consider a dehumidifier (too moist/salt air) but that's about it.
Don't throw away your cds. You can resurface the plastic side and put a clear coat on it and all the scratches disappear. Never get rid of your CDs or not toast unless of course you scratch the top of the CD, then you'll have problems
