DO NOT USE TCI. I can not get them to answer a phone call, return a voice message, respond to an email or even a Facebook message for warranty issue. Had to pay for it out of pocket. So I built a Gen 3 5.3 ( carb swapped ) I wanna run the original 4L60E that came with the motor along with the transfer case. Will this system work? If so I’ll buy it.
I have a 80 series Land Cruiser that’s swapped 6.0/4L80e. Running the stock GM pcm. Can I use this to make my trans mission operate better and keep my engine on the GM pcm? My Lq9 is out of a Escalade and my 4L80e is out of an express van.
i've installed a 383 stroker motor that has a carb. on it this is in my 97 Trans Am with the 4L60E transmission that came in the car i have bought the TCI EZ-TCU transmission controller powered by fast, am i gonna need to buy the remote TPS unit also or how am i gonna to suply the TPS signal to the TCU controller
I finished installation of ez tcu unit on a 6.5 diesel humvee running on 4l80e, its extremely easy, I absolutely love the simplicity and functionality of EZ TCU,good job guys.
Can anyone tell me where to connect the " TECH INN/ RPM MODULE" on a 93 silverado pickup 6.5 diesel 4L80E transmission. There is no place to plug it in? Where can I find a tach signal? I dont have a carb, ignition box or any tach output?
I am having the same issue. 93 Silverado w/4L60e and carb swap. I followed the instructions plus I have the tci tps too. I can drive roughly 20 minutes or so before the system stops reading speed and then I’m stranded. TCI could only come up with “send it back”.
Im running a 6.2 liter diesel with the 4l80, i have the isspro magnetic tac system. How do i make it compatible with the tcu? After tapping into the rpm module but im not getting any indicators of tac signal on the live data screen. WtF can someone help me out here

They are negative switched. But that doesn't mean it will work. The Purple performance mode wouldn't work on the first unit. But it works on the replacement they sent me. Unfortunately the units are EXTREMELY SENSITIVE to heat. DO NOT mount under the hood.
These modules are EXTREMELY SENSITIVE to heat. DO NOT mount under the hood. This left me stranded in the mountains and forced me to ziptie the module to the wiper blade to get me back on the road. I ordered a replacement and removed the harness and moved it into the cab of the truck. Still it goes into limp mode. Pack the module with an icepack and drive for hours. TCI recommended getting a warranty replacement. So that arrived today so I installed it and at least the tow haul works now . BUT STILL GOES LIMP. As soon as it gets warm. Swapped out vss twice at TCIs request. First one was a new aftermarket sensor. Second was a used GM sensor to get me on the road as no one had stock. A third GM sensor is on the way. I don't have high hopes. Icepacks for now.
Did you figure out a solution? I’m dealing with the same problem and can only drive for a few minutes before it stops showing mph on the handheld and downshift back to first gear.
@@dedrickwashington6219 I did. I removed the trans control harness components from a spare OEM harness and re installed it in the GM ECU. Reflashed my ECU and have never looked back. I removed ALL TCI components and sent it back. TCI was unavailable to provide me with a working ECU. JEGS was good an gave me a full credit. But it was a shitty experience.
In the beginning, pause it when it’s showing the box that it comes in. It says it in the bottom left-hand corner that it works with 6X 6 speed transmissions.

@@johnparrish9215 Because a jet engine relies on internal combustion to create power whereas an electric motor does not. Calling an engine a motor is just as incorrect as calling a fork a knife.
