TAMI YOU GET AN A FOR THIS TASK!!!!!IT looks really cool exactly like a giant twinkle!!!!!I really enjoyed this video even if the product wasnt good!!!!Great job guys!!!!!👍♥️💕💙😍🤩😘💞
I’m interested in the cake pan since it’s so cute, and I just looked this up…and the kit goes for $30-$48 online! Absolute craziness. I couldn’t find a dupe for it, either, so it looks like you got a good deal on it even if it still feels a bit overpriced. Thank you for sharing!!
I also love Baker's Joy spray! I would buy this for the pan alone. If I could, I would own so many niche baking pans... But I don't have the storage space!!
@@TamiDunn Thank you! There is a Big Lots down the street from where I work. Will run in real quick and see if they have them. Thanks again! Love all your work. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
Big Lots usually have different types of kits similar to these during Christmas never bought them but watching y'all make me wanna try those types of kits
Thank you for the review and giving us ideas to make it better. For that price you would figure it would some what taste like it should cause it looked just like one.
So fun! Thank you so much for making/sharing. We made a recipe from (confessions of a cookbook queen - she has since closed her blog) and it turned out so cute and was delicious. The shape wasn’t as perfect as yours though for sure
Really don’t like Twinkies but this looks delicious. I think I would have chiselled out most of the centre otherwise there will be some slices with no filling. Looks like this should come with a recipe for some cake pops with the leftover pieces. Thanks for the review. We heard you Kevin😁
Very interesting! I’m wondering since you got a slight cornmeal taste, if using a vanilla sponge cake mix would give it more of the Twinkie feel! Used to love Twinkies but haven’t had in years..
Such a cute idea, it’s to bad it wasn’t good! I wonder if it was supposed to have to packets and one was like powder sugar to make the cream sweet? Well hopefully the cupcake turns out tastier! 😉 Great review!
Got one and it's going to be made for my nieces birthday. The Big lots location I got mine was closing so it was half off and the filling bag I was just going to improvise.
@@lewistonmaineiac oops I didn’t realize I replied to your comment vs posting my own, so I deleted the one here and kept the one I posted. But yes I totally agree with you- it is very gimmicky! Not worth the amount they’re trying to charge for it.
It would have been nice if they gave you a pastry bag to put the filling in the cake so that you can put the filling inside of the cake instead of using a spatula or a knife to cut it because they definitely give you a pastry bag with the decorative tips when you buy the electric hostess Twinkie maker
If I were to make this I'd add a ton of powdered sugar to that filling, we always have that in the house anyway and you're not left with that bag. Also in a lot recipes if you've made the cream frosting and you taste it (before adding it to the cake etc of course) and it's not sweet enough for you you should be able to carefully mix in powdered sugar without the frosting losing its texture
These tacky gifts are terrible. Like you said you would buy this for someone you have NO idea what to get for. I would classify this with those "random" beauty product holiday kits, any generic "gift set" with bath products and those little chocolate chip cookie/brownie 5 inch skillet things. After you receive them, no one in my life uses these, except the consumables. For $20, I would rather have a "Twinkies Lovers" variety pack of a few flavours with 24+ cakes instead, at least I'll eat them and there won't be any garbage at the end lol!
That's a great comparison. Those skillets are never used after their first use. This year, they are making larger ones, but I still wouldn't use it again.
Now that you know, add sugar to the giant chocolate cupcake cake, and confectioners sugar to the filling! I thought of three ideas you could try with your Twinkie pan! 1) Neapolitan - vanilla, chocolate and strawberry frosting, one in each square hole. 2) for a 4th of July party, Red White & Blue: cherry pie filling in the first hole, vanilla frosting in the second, and blueberry pie filling in the third cutout! 3) for a small child that likes rainbows and unicorns, you could do a rainbow Twinkie! The left side of the first hole with red icing, the right side with orange icing, the left side of the second hole with lemon icing, the right side with lime icing, and the last hole, blue and purple! Then put a unicorn decoration on top to show it’s a magic cake that keeps changing as you slice into it!
I have the hostess Twinkie machine that you can make your own individual Twinkie cakes they give you a recipe booklet that you can make different flavored cakes or you can make your own homemade cake from scratch and make your own homemade cream filling if you don't like the ones and the recipe booklet I bought this machine at Walgreens for $20
Good evening sir can you please try Signature SELECT Chili Crunch Sweet & Salty it’s TRAIL-MIX they sell it only at ACME STORE IT TASTE DELICIOUS I EAT IT EVERYDAY FOR BREAKFAST WITH MY HOT BLACK TEA
A lot of people don't even like hostess Twinkies because the hostess Twinkie company they have changed the taste so much from the original taste of the original hostess Twinkie cakes when they used to use banana cream filling and real cake when I was growing up but now they are skipping on the real ingredients and substituting them for fake ingredients that's why people don't like horses Twinkies anymore because they don't taste the same
Watching you guys take a bite made me think of that scene from Honey I Shrunk the Kids where they find the Oatmeal Cream pie 😂
I love that movie!
This was lots of fun for the novelty of it. It does look like a Twinkie.
Thanks for making it and sharing with us.
Enjoy and have a fantastic day.
I hope you have a great day!

They were in the seasonal food aisle with Christmas candy. 😃

buy it for the pan then use a regular cake mix and cool whip id say or make chantilly cream
Great idea!

Thank you 🙏🏻
It’s a shame that this wasn’t better. Thanks for being honest!
I'm glad it was helpful :)
There is so many fun variations you can use with that pan it's a shame the cake didn't turn out well but you can make so many things with the pan.
It just needs a different cream 😀
Thank you for the review and giving us ideas to make it better. For that price you would figure it would some what taste like it should cause it looked just like one.
I agree!
kevin made me laugh when you said yellow cake mix twenty servings 😂😂 that cake is massive could eat the whole thing in one go lol nice dessert
I admire Kevin's honesty. “Don’t buy it” 😂😂😂. You brighten my day❤
I'm so glad!
Tami- great idea about buying the frosting separate to add more sweetness and just make it better. This would be fun to do with kids. Great review! 😊
Thank you :)
Mmmmm twinkies :D
*Happy red panda sounds*

You are welcome! I only wish the cream had been sweet!
You could use the pan for and nice big meat loaf. Add sugar to the cake mix and powdered sugar to the cream mix.
A meatloaf for 10 people 😃

I agree - the whole center could be taken out instead of just 3 or 4 sections.

A tub of vanilla frosting would be perfect!
Can't wait for your next review videos!!!🤗☺🥰 I really enjoy ya'll's channel😊🤗☺💙💜🧡🖤💯 Thanks for sharing!!!

Only in America lol... I would love this, even with it lacking sweetness 😆😆 and I am with Kevin, 20 servings.... yeah right LOL
I know 🤣
Great Idea 👏❤️😋 my grandkids would love this.
Thank you!
@@TamiDunn you’re welcome

It had the right thickness, so Kevin was thinking they combined the two bags into one. It's hard to know.

I'm glad you were able to buy it at such a great price!
Really will you ever use that cake pan again? Thanks for sharing
I plan to ask Christina on Thanksgiving if she wants it. If not, I will donate it.

Fair enough!
So interesting and funny!😊…..I would use the recipe for “Whoopie Pies”!

I agree; powdered sugar fixes a lot.
I love this, it legit looks like a giant twinkie!
Yes! It really looked terrific!
Do you think it would have been tastier if you used butter and milk instead go oil and water?
I don't think so. It still wouldn't have been sweet.
I was literally just talking about how i missed Twinkies and woke up to this video! ❤ this is so awesome y’all.
Thank you so much :)
It was so cool to see how much it looked like a Twinkie. Too bad it didn’t deliver the flavor.
I was really impressed with the look of it!
I love this channel
Thank you so much!!
So I'm wondering is hostess Twinkie company using jiffy mix cornbread or a muffin mix and passing it off as cake mix 😱😱😱😱😱
I love Big Lots! They have such unique food items!

you could even use the tin to bake bread in, there is so many uses for the tin we love this thanks for the review, uk need it

Too bad about the flavor because the gargantuan Twinkie with all that extra filling did make my greedy eyes light up !
Oh, it turned out perfect. You just need to add your own sweet center ;)
Lol this is so cool 😎 it’s giant sized 😊

You practically have to ruin the bottom part of the cake just to put the filling in
