We all get older and time catches up to us all. None of us look the same goes without saying. One thing I can say about Peter is his voice is one of the best in Rock and has been for years! His drum playing is fantastic also. Been a fan since 1970. Cheers!

If you ever hear the long cut of Get Ready...you will think Peter has six hands...I played drums for a lot of years and after hearing Mr. Rivera play I took my drums out into the field..stacked them up...put a little gas on them and lit the match...they never sounded so good...I played for years and never got any better...I am 68 now and still love music...all kinds...but now I look back at the old timers and marval at there talent..it has been a great time to grow up...keep playing the music

akimmbo I remember a lot of bands that were out of Michigan. I saw Bob Seeger several time before he became nationally famous. He had a band called The Last Herd. Question Mark and the Misterians were out of Bay City and Flint. Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes were another Michigan band. There was a band called Terry Knight and the Pack which spawned two great musicians Donny Brewer on Drums and Mark Farner on Guitar...who became Grand Funk Railroad...there were a lot of other bands who had musicians that went big time

Yeah Man - In it's heyday, that 50,000 watts outta Windsor Ont. (70 miles from us in Sarnia) bounced off of the stratosphere and they got it in Vietnam. They had THE BEST PLAYLIST in the world at the time, there's a great docu-videography, about all the marvelous stuff they started (became industry standards) and are still going today. Pete's voice is better than ever, and well,... he's - just the best.

I've heard two great, no perfect, Rock and Roll voices in my life. One, and this surprised me no end but mesmerized me, was Billy Joe Royal, who in his 70's owned the room at a concert in St Louis, the other, this fabulous singing Drummer, Peter Rivera. I keep coming back to PR's material when I need to get inspired.

Hate to be picky here Thomas but many white acts were on Motown in the 1960's long before the label signed Rare Earth.., A few that spring to mind are Debbie Dean, The Valadiers, Mike and The Modifiers , Nick And The Jaguars, Chris Clarke, The Lewis Sisters...... R.E. were obviously the most successful white act that were with Motown....Pete Rivera what a voice, was, is and will always be my favourite male vocalist...and Rare Earth my all time fave band.
