    I have a lisp and I stutter, and I absolutely hate when people point it out. Like thanks I had absolutely no idea 🙄🙄 (edit oh goodness I didn’t realize how many likes this comment has gotten 😅. For those of u, and you know who you are telling anyone with a lisp or stutter just to go see someone to get it fixed. Please be quiet it’s easier said than done. My lisp came from an incredible amount of dental work I had done. It finally went away but my stutter is still there!)

This is horrible and rude that people would comment on this. Such a personal issue that effects no one besides her. Society discounts me when this Happens. I would never dream of asking someone about this much less commenting on the way a total stranger speaks. Get some manners!!!!

    Do you know if you're tongue tied? I had a bad lisp all through school, and I found out before my senior year that my tongue was tied. That means the frenulum (the little flap of skin under your tongue) reaches out closer to the tip of your tongue. You can get a surgery to fix it, although it's a little pointless as an adult to get it. Regardless, fuck everyone, your voice is so sweet, I love your videos and have been following you since the beginning. Keep on keeping on, dear. 🤘🏼

      honestly, I was only concerned because of how her mouth pulls up. it seemed like she had a muscle or jaw problem and I was hoping everything was okay. I guess that's just how her lips have to compensate for her tongue going over. I had speech like hers, but more severe from underdeveloped jaw muscles and what's known as lazy tongue. I had to go to therapy to learn how to open my mouth and use those muscles, and to get rid of the lisp because my tongue pushing on my teeth was affecting how my teeth grew. I 'm glad Emily is healthy and well! if it's not affecting her health and she's happy that's all that matters.

    I had the same issue growing up! It's you have a big tongue! The speech therapist said I'd grow into it! I LIKE the way you TALK! You're pretty, you'll have to accept that jelous people will try to find fault with you, in an effort to feel better a out themselves. It happens, it never ends, just accept you're an attractive girl & others are going be jelous & hate on you. The speech therapist said there was NOTHING WRONG, with me. I used to ( in an effort to be understood) end up with tip of my tongue touching the back side of one side of my mouth, one of my canines. But it didn't help. If you're happy, that's what matters. If you don't want to talk with a lisp you can correct it, yourself. It's requires minimal phsical effort to do it, but remembering to always make the effort being conscious of your tonge is mentally tiring.

      A lisp is literally a mouth malformation. You should never want one. It’s caused by having a bottle or pacifier too long as a child. So much so that it alters the roof of your mouth(palette) and pushes your front teeth out so much that your tongue can go through and that gives you a lisp. It’s super hard to understand and very unprofessional. I’m sure she’ll find it very hard to get a job where she talks a lot. So, before you wish you had this think about how it will actually affect you in your real life.

    I don't have a very bad lisp, but it used to be really bad. I didn't talk until I was 5 or 6 years old, and I had a tongue tie since I was born. One or two years ago, I got it lasered and it really helped. But, I still somewhat have it, I can't pronounce words very well, and I stammer a lot. My mouth moves really weird when I speak and I think that's the worst part. I'm always scared to talk, sing, and even eat in front of people.

    awh this hits so close to my heart ❤ I have a speech impediment. when I was younger I couldn't say my R's , L's & W's . I took speech classes from 1st to 5th grade. sometimes it still comes out every once in a while . I always correct myself & sometimes it comes out as a stutter .
    I had a "friend" who would laugh at me & would point it out every single time I missed pronounced a word. & I honestly hate when people do that . Its pure ignarance . I've seen your videos on fb this is my 1st time seeing you on YT.
    I recently started doing my own UA-cam videos on my other channel , Makeup Is My Heroine . you could probably tell if you watch my videos. but I honestly didn't notice your lisp until I was watching one of your other videos & I read the comments. people are stupid if the way someone talks bothers them so much they have to point it out. keep doing you girl❤❤

    I had a lisp with my S's when I was much younger and when I was adopted my new mom was embarrassed to be around me and hated that I had a speech impediment, so she made me take several years of speech therapy, and I hated it. I don't think it's even necessary, just be yourself.

    • @sofiadeleon6200
      @sofiadeleon6200 7 років тому +21

      Mattie Heard your new mom did a really noble act, she saw something that could potentially be a motive of trouble in the future for you. You should be grateful as she was concerned for this, she took her time and those therapies weren't for free they are expensive. My brother had a speech impediment when he was a child and my mom hated it because unfortunately it interferes with giving a message correctly and people get distracted by it. Your mom could have just ignored them and keep your speech like that if she didn't care, you know?

      Mattie Heard wtf that's the worst thing I've ever read!!! I had braces and it made my lisp go away! I had a problem with s's as well!

    • @sleepieannie8201
      @sleepieannie8201 7 років тому +5

      Mattie Heard Honestly, as much as you hated it, she did you a favor. Having a speech impediment can affect how people perceive you and henceforth, it will have an effect on future occupations. Sure, your self-esteem must've gotten hurt but people can overcome that. However, failing to get a job that you wanted because of a lisp would've been much more detrimental in my opinion. (Especially if it would cause you to do speech therapy anyways, better to do it early).
      Of course, if you or whoever would rather be yourself and that takes priority above all else then I retract my statement. Some of us don't mind making sacrifices to get ahead, and some just don't give a fuck; still, give that mom some slack.

      I don’t really show much of my lower teeth, and also my jaw is a little crooked so my teeth don’t align on top of themselves perfectly. Don’t change the way you talk unless it bothers you babe, I know it might be frustrating when people mention it but that will go away and one day you’ll realize your imperfections are whAt make us unique and special. I never watched you a lot because the way you talked did bug me (yes I understand it sounds rude, but there’s little things that bother everyone. No different than hating the way someone chews, the difference is I’ve NEVER left hate comments about it because that’s petty and childish.) but every time one of your videos popped up I was so interested in it I would just deal with being mildly bugged. And you’re completely right! After so many videos in now you really do start to not notice it. It almost like an accent in a way, hearing it for so long it just starts to sound so normal you don’t even hear a difference. Anyways, you make amazing videos and are inspiring me to get back into trying nails again! Love what you’re doing and so glad I kept coming back 💚

    Bless you lovely! Disappointed people are so rude and ask you such personal questions. I accidentally found your channel looking for something nail related and have had them rolling for about two days, first because I was curious about nail stuff and then got a bit more interested in your other content. You seem so genuinely nice and compassionate. I can't say that about everyone I see on YT or socials - people can be a bit prickley these days which I suppose is normal - but you seem unshakable in caring about everyone's feelings and being very laid back. I don't always subscribe to videos I watch but I have subscribed. Your weight loss videos are intriguing as well so I'm sure I'll be watching them all.

    I've been watching your videos for months, obviously I noticed, but I've met many people in my life with speech impediments, i really enjoy your videos, and I think the way your upper lip flares is super cute tbh ❤️ keep up the good work, you're beautiful xxx
