Good video. The website says the tent is waterproof. Do you have the rain tarp above just for double protection, or do you think it’s necessary? Thanks
It is waterproof not for prolonged intense rain, I have the tarp for double protection but it did not cover the whole tent so RBM Outdoors sent us a tarp that covers the whole tent. You can watch our latest video.
Hi. This tent is not designed for heavy and prolonged rain. A Rainfly is needed which was sent to me by RBM outdoors company after they watch this video. Rainfly is equipped with a stove jack then it is completely rain proof. The tent holds up pretty well in the wind.

@@BabyLonianFamily so using an extra tarp is t needed if you have the rain fly? Also have you been in that much rain or more since getting the rain fly? I will be camping in open areas so direct rain and wind will be a frequent I’m presuming. Thank for your help!

I actually purchased the PVC and velcro then cut them out however, velcro adhesive failed miserably in the rain. velcro needs to be sewn to the fabric of of the tent. Thank you for watching.
Thanks for these videos, I'm debating on getting this tent for my family but I'm a little worried about the weight of the tent. Any problems removing and returning the packed tent from your car?
Thank you for watching our videos. I honestly was debating a lot when I purchased this tent. It is a heavy tent, it is about 70 lbs, 35 kg. My wife usually helps me carrying it into the car, inflating it takes about 10 minutes using a manual pump, I am actually searching for a 20 PSI electric pump now; at first it takes practice to deflate and pack it, I suggest taking a video unfolding it so that you can fold it the same way in reverse. This tent is not for heavy prolonged rain, it may leak small amounts, which is why I now use a rainfly that was sent to us by RBM Outdoors it is a custom made rainfly designed for this tent. Videos are on my channel. My tent did not come with PVC windows, I keep my windows closed in winter but the new ones do come with PVC windows. It is a huge tent, great for families and car camping and it is heavy duty. It is a little pricey. I recently purchased a new tent from Coody the video will soon be available.
Thank you for your quick and through response! This is a pricy tent as tents go which is why I'm a little gun shy on pulling the trigger. I was also looking at the Goody as well! We probably both saw the amazing glamping videos featuring the Coody tent. Its about the same size as the RBM but they offer theirs in dark green which I like better than the tan or beige RBM comes in. Can't wait to see your video on the Coody. Would love to see a pros and cons of both tents to help folks like me to determine which is the right one for them. Thanks, happy camping!
