World Record History of Oach - Trackmania's Hardest Track
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- In the worlds most competitive racing game, there are no limits to how far players will go to perfect their craft. Even on a track that was deemed to be impossible when it released, Trackmania players still found a way to speedrun it. This is the World Record History of Oach.

"Nobody thought completing Oach was possible. But then, on the 24th of October, 2011, Tortugo got this run:" *proceeds to show the entire 30h long replay*"
😂😂
Great to see the history of oach immortalized in such a well made video! Truly a legendary track - I still have such vivid memories of my first run nine years ago, spending four hours on cp3... it's wild how far the trial community has come over the last decade
Congratz simo, and obviously also all the players that gave this track a shot.
What a great effort to do a record like this, insane!
Yes that's true, so many teeth gritted on the track 😄
What a legend! Congrats on the WR, dude.
I'm just wondering how many bodies you have buried in your basement.... you psychopath! 😘
Congrats Simo
I've always been proud to be the creator of a battleground that's seen so many fights and crazy improvements over the years, and now seeing its history immortalized in such a beautiful video is a great honor.
Thanks to all the drivers for putting their hours into making history on my track and to you for delivering it in a fantastic way as always
love that the track was named after what"s used to frustrate people not speaking the local dialect
Bro, shame on you for making these good people spends 100’s - 1000’s of hours of their lives grinding your track XD
Did you have to finish the map before publishing? How long did that take?
My man!
Seeing your name wakes so many feelings in me from the amazing RPG tracks to the sadistic ones 😀. I do miss the time on that RPG server you used to host (?) Back in 2010-2012 thou. It was so nice to just sign in and play some new hard map and then hopefully beat it before I ran out of time. Those really were the days

3:16s faster than Simo's.
These guys are simply legends!
Also thanks igntuL & Wirtual as well, for the legendary track and the awesome video!
I knew 16 or even sub 16 is possible.
To put this in perspective how insane this is, there are only 6 players that have done the track in under 1 hour. And only 3 players in under 30min.
Just saw it. it's insane
that is nuts. knowing something is possible and then actually *doing* that is a whole other kettle of fish. just nuts how good some people are.
So he even beat the run with the best possible splits? He oneshot everything? Damn...
I always wonder where do you get the replays from these historical moments. I’m feeling all childhood memories and emotions in that video.
Like it was yesterday We all were hunting that map for the first finnishes. I feel like I had amazing childhood seeing this video.
Thank you so much for making this documentary 🙏🏽
Trackmania Exchange, cant post a record without a replay file. Its down due to hacks atm though, but Wirt knows the people behind it well enough to still get the required files. It should be back soon tm

Yeah like srsly wirtual only en aften ved svanefossen can be the song it’s ten best
the “we’re finally landing” of trackmaina
@DeanDragon the song.
It's pretty insane that usually when a record goes from hours to minutes it's due to the discovery of new bugs/shortcuts. These improvements were from skills alone.
Tortugo becoming Adam Kajumi has got to be one of the weirdest moments in CZ/SK Internet history.
Becoming? Elaborate?
I was like, ČO TO KURVA JE
As a Czech I have never heard the name
yea, he was one of the most hated influencers
Why he's was one of the most hated influencers? Sorry, im not into this stuff..
As an Austrian hearing you say wht should be "Oachkatztlschwoaf" is the funnuiest thing ever.
Oachkatzlschwoaf is "squirrrels tail" in englisch
It's a word normally used to confuse Germans with the Austrian dialect.
It’s the same in Bavarian.
I feel you so much bro
also to confuse italians, who cannot pronounce it^^
Lmao it made me laugh too. Nice to see another Austrian here though ^^
Not only is the map itself difficult, the name perhaps more-so.
Playing the game for over 14 years now, I've been amazed many times, but the skill shown by trackmania trial players is something I will never get bored of. The precision, car control and patience needed for the stuff shown in the video is far beyond my comprehension. Great video!
It's an amazing thing that wirtual captures and documents these legendary hours that the players put in, which would otherwise be only a small bubble in the internet.
21:22 Nawks strat is actually really damn good for learning new tracks and improving fast, completing every single run helps you build muscle memory and learn the track way faster than resetting on every mistake in hopes of a fast run.
I yeet out the map mostly lol
So that wont work
YUP!!!! I notice immediate improvements once i start doing this on tracks. Save the resets for bad fails and when you are very good already.
I like how multinational the Trackmania community is. "So an Italian created a nearly unbeatable track with an equally unpronounceable German name, then a Korean and a Czech managed to prove it completable, then a Finn and a Serb teamed up to crush the records, then a German came in like 'ahahaha how cute' and broke the one-hour mark with a sledgehammer, then..."
And eventually a Norwegian reported on the whole thing for the world to see
Then a moroccan came and stole the computer
And then an Albanian came to steal the Moroccan’s organs
@@CliffCardi and then a Tunisian guy threw kosksi and chapatti at the Albanian dude.
then an Indian came and scammed the Tunisian out of his soul
I like it that on a trial map, keeping driving forward instead of turning around to drive backwards, is considered a "trick up his sleeve".
Sometimes, simplicity is the key.
Is it because its a rear wheel drive car and to get on that ledge with low speed, you need the rear wheels to go first?
@@kyrylopaints No the car pulls on all 4 wheels. It is just easier to climb walls when going backwards
well originally they couldnt keep enough speed to do it forwards, but he did the jump better and had the speed
I like how this story combines drunk german engineering with czech determinism, the lunatic driving skills of the french and finnish stone cold precision.
As someone who's half czech, I had a feeling that the czech guy wasn't gonna be the first of the two to quit.
And luck o'the Irish ☘️☘️
yeah, you’re not funny, nor original
I have absolutely no time played in trackmania, I do not see myself ever trying, I have occasionally heard about the game but thats it. I don't even know how I discovered your channel but what I can say is you have moved me to tears with your world record documentaries more than once. The feats some people achieve are insane to me.
I only played TMNT many years ago for a bit, recently tried the actual version, didn't like the constant slipping around etc etc
But i totally enjoy watching it as well, be it his documentaries, the stuff on his other channel WirtualTV or live on Twitch.
As someone from Austria, I was very delighted to see the track's name. Oachkatzlschwoaf is a german word with an Austrian dialect. In typical German, it means "Eichhörnchenschweif" and translated to English the word means "Squirrel Tail". I love this Trackmania Track just for the name alone xD
so if i run over a squirrel, am i a trackmania pro?

I love how these videos get me so into track mania even tho I don’t even play it. The mental journey he brings me on following the record over decades of time, literally so crazy to see 10/10 I love wirtuals story telling
I mean, it's just crazy to think about a guy leading the pack by almost an hour and a half in a game that regularly disputes records by the hundredth of a second. That's probably more legendary than anything else related to this track. Drunk deserves so much credit for being such an absolute unit.

Once again I find myself captivated by a game I never played and speedrunning which I've never done. All due to the great narrator and story teller, Wirtual. Fair game, finally subbed. Well deserved.
18:13 "And you might wonder: would anyone seriously try to beat that?"
**me looking at the video progress bar**
_I guess there's something more to this story..._
Man I can't even imagine the amount of adrenaline you'd get from one-shotting cp12 for the first time.
My favorite kind of Wirtual video is the TMNF mini-docs. They are so enjoyable because they are always edited perfectly, end with a high note, and have a message at the end. Keep up the great work!
Bruh, Oach being the origin story of Nixion - the person who made Plasma - is wicked.
And he was first time trying to beat it together with Simo_900, who, of course, created Final Enigma. Double wicked
After watching a few of these, the entirety of Trackmania speedrunning history can be summed up as "but wait - there's more"
After just one minute into the video, I have to say this: Wirtual, you have my sincere appreciation for pronouncing the name of the track correctly (or at least, as correctly as one can possibly wish for). Thank you. Even many Germans mutilate the word, as it is one of the most standard words to "test" pronounciation in Bavarian dialect. Btw, I assume that the map creator might be from South Tyrol, as his account is registered as Italian and this region is bilingual Italian and German, with the dialect being closely related to southern German (say, Suevian and Bavarian) and Austrian dialects.
For anyone who might wonder what the strange word means, in "high German" it would be "Eichhörnchenschweif" (the "ei" has become a very quickly spoken "oa" in Bavarian dialect). It quite simply means: "squirrel's tail". It is used to "test" so-called "native" Bavarian because of its two uses of the aforementioned, quickly spoken "oa" which doesn't exist anywhere in any northern German dialect. On the contrary, most people sound strange trying to say it, because they just don't get it said quickly enough, like two separate sounds instead of one sweeping sound changing from o to a. Now, Wirtual somehow managed to say it to near perfection despite not even being a native German speeker, much less one of Bavaian (and related) dialects. That means, he not only checked the language, he also put in the effort to get the pronounciation "wirtually" (sorry, could't let this slip...) perfect, quite probably by asking a native speeker and practicing.
I really appreciate your sense for detail. "Measse!"
Well, as you said: “you should never underestimate the determination of trackmania players, or now that I think about it, perhaps you should because someone stubborn enough will come along and prove you wrong”
I don’t think that it is possible for any trackmania player to ever beat Final Enigma
Prove me wrong
I like how the players who are good enough to beat this track let alone quickly, are super wholesome when their record is beaten. Almost like they are happy to see somebody pull off a faster time somehow
I have never played any of these games, i havent even heard about it before i was gifted One of your videos on My FrontPage in UA-cam.
You are so great to listen to, like a Good Book you unfold storys to the viewers. Its captivating to say the least
Thank you for not only your Time but for all runners out there doing their best to Rip the Tracks.
The hardest part isn't doing it flawlessly, it's saying the whole name flawlessly
I'm from Bavaria, for me it's the easiest part 😁
7:22 Music choice brought a smile on my face. That must be my favourite video game music of all time from the greatest videogame I've ever played. I loved wandering around Gaur Plains listening to that piece and enjoying the scenery even late into the game when there was not much to do.
