    Wow! You look really banged up and bruised. Thank goodness you didn't have worse injuries. I'm glad your ER experience was positive and that you are on the mend.

    Make sure you next helmet has MIPS. I also crashed at 50kmph into tarmac uphill, didn't even get concussion. The helemt broke (so did 3 ribs and my collarbone) but no loss of memory just some temporary dizziness which left very quickly.

      Definitely will, but I don't think it would've made a big difference. I think the initial knock was to my cheekbone, followed by the helmet on the side.

    I had a rear wheel drop out due to a loose QR. It jammed the wheel into the frame and threw me off at around 35kmph (I was sprinting). I only ride thru axle bikes now. But even them you have to still keep an eye on, they can come loose too!

      That would've helped but also of this bike had a front brake which it doesn't. It is a bike a got for free and fixed. If there was a front brake, it probably would've prevented the brake from slipping out. Also, if I immediately addressed the potential problem I saw
