Honestly this is better than him eternally opening exceedingly rare pokemon booster boxes till the world runs dry from elite 40 year olds taking away from others childhood to feed their own nostalgia
I think TCG pocket is phenomenal whether you were just a casual player who just opens the two pack a day or somebody who wants to collect every single card and spends money to get every single card it is very starter friendly in the actual card game is super simple and easy to learn with the tutorial which also gives you a bunch of free rewards
Its like any mobile game when it makes you want to buy in game currency. But, you get the physical satisfaction of opening packs and easily learn how to play the actual TCG. Already a dub in my book.
@@darknesswinz0525I’ve been wanting a way to get into card collecting for cheap and without the mess. Also the fact that I can use the cards to battle very easily and smoothly, it’s just a really good choice for people who can’t afford to get into IRL Pokemon card packs like me.
I installed it as soon as it came out. I had no idea how to actually play the card game (I just collected them) but now I know. I gotta say, it's a lot more simple than other TCGs I've played, but it's fun. You can also flip the packs around to get the rare first if you want, lol.
I actually really like this game, aside from the controversy of the packs being predetermined before you even open it. all 10 packs are the same in the wheel.
This pokemon TCG got me hooked. Card artwork was really fire. Love how they added the animation for Mewtwo got it twice it was surreal. Wanted to open more packs because of this.
This is a video where in a long time I can see the excitement in Rev's eyes. I'm glad that Rev discovered something that he enjoyes doing with passion again. The fact he even hinted at streams is awesome! Great stuff, looking forward to it!
Yeah I hate to say a lot of his recent stuff has been pretty dull and relatively passion-less. This was a great return to form. It was fun to watch cause it felt genuine.
I preordered the game months ago with high expectations and I opened it as soon as I was notified of the release, I can say I was not deceived by the game, only by my luck
What I really like about this is it’s not only about pulling your favorite cards or the big hits. It’s about pulling dupes of the cards you’ll use in your decks to battle. There’s more of a use of all cards vs in person I only ever collected one and never used any to battle.
Easily one of my most anticipated things to come out this year, I've always wanted to have that feeling of opening packs without having to constantly having to shell out money so this game came in clutch majorly. I can only hope that this a hugely successful game and that the same dev team can eventually create a VR/AR game where we can play the TCG with friends without even needing to leave the house. Being able to be in the actual artworks of these "immersive art rares" would be insane!! I'm sure it would take quite some time to develop such a game/app but that's where I would see the future of this game/app going if it really does prove to be a success.
This game is what i call"TCG online done right". Easy to play, newbie friendly, easy to understand, and F2P friendly. Some may say it wasn't that friendly to f2p users but i think they did it right. Early game EX decks are also strong and can fight costum decks and everything just falls out on strategy. Good strategy can still win games and as F2P player myself i don't feel pressured that those who pay can leave me on the dust.
By the pull rates cards 1-3 should be 100% 1 diamond. And 1 diamonds are not found in slots 4 and 5 4th card has the highes chance to be 2 diamond, but has small chances to be any higher as well, thats what you were looking at for the machamp and mewtwo. The 5th card is the best chances to get good cards, and there you have a 0.888% to get a 3 star, not a 0.222% as you thought, so you have a total of about 1% chance to pull a 3 star. But it seems sometimes the order gets mixed up or something, and the 2nd card is a 3 diamond and then the 4th is a 1 diamond idk
Im actually having a blast with this game. I like how slow paced it is to collect the cards, its makes getting a rarer card more special, plus opening the packs feels like a little treat every day.
I haven't tried it, not sure I personally like the concept behind the ripping virtual packs. I guess a fair comparison would be books, physical vs digital - I personally don't care digital books, I like having the physical product in my hands. I wonder what's next? Digital paintings just hang a screen on your wall and now you have the Mona Lisa. We no longer own anything, it's all ones and zeros. Thant's my opinion. Although we all decide what's our entertainment value and if it's enjoyable then those that enjoy it should use it. Do things that make you happy.
TCG Pocket is actually brilliant. I was skeptical but now I am really enjoying the app, it isn't too demanding but is also very satisfying, plus it has gotten me into the battle mechanics of the actual pokemon cards. I just pulled a gold charizard :)
Not brilliant. Game gets more wack as you level up cus higher level players only using pokemon that have sleep abilities etc. Its annoying and boring now having to face that every single battle. Its always frosmoth or hypno literally every match. I get its been apart of it but its not just not fun. The longer people play they will see this same thing and stop playing.
I had pre-reg'd a while ago and was so hyped to finally download it! Was SOOOO lucky and pulled Articuno Ex my first try (apparently one of the best cards for the in-app TCG game so far), and love the slightly streamlined version of the TCG battles (I tried the full version and couldn't get into it). I love how this app focuses a lot on the collection aspect rather than just battling, and even love the little detail that they show the artist on the card. Hope the app keeps it up! EDIT: YO I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD PEEK AT THE CARDS WHILE OPENING! 😮 EDIT 2: 31:55 Okay that...legit gave me chills that was amazing
One real cool side thing that I haven't heard anyone mention yet, if you have friends playing in a different language you can wonder pick from their cards and get cards in their language
I've never understood how to actually play the TCG, but this game actually taught me. The artwork is awesome, I've pulled some really cool cards (FTP), and i actually feel like I could potentially build a deck of cards and play.
My only gripe with the game so far is that in PVP battles there are two modes: beginner and advanced, and advanced p2w wallet warriors are fighting in the beginner battles… after they’ve gone and unlocked 3 mewtwo Ex or 6 charizard Ex etc etc, and making it harder for those new players with non P2W decks are now getting wrecked. Not very beginner friendly.
The coolest thing about this app learning and playing the TCG easily. Collecting the set and stuff just isn’t realistic unless you’re dropping mad money. It will get even worse as they start releasing more and more sets. I wouldn’t be surprised if they add a sort of fomo and cycle out older sets which wouldn’t be really right, cus it doesn’t even let casual/free players keep working on the sets they wanna complete.
I've been wanting for launch ever since early September and am really happy with how the game turned out to be I love all the cool arts on the cards and the shortened battles and really look forward to seeing this game grow.
Iam from India... Pokemon tcg pocket is really good to play.. because in india the original Pokemon packs price are really high and rare to get...and it does not afford to buy...so the Pokemon tcg pocket is really good to collect Pokemon tcg through our mobile...✨
I’ve been playing this in the beta for the past month, flair is only shown during a battle and you must have at least 2 after turning in any extra. Definitely try the battle mode. It’s a lot of fun and the rules are similar to legit PTCG but a lot faster and easier for basically anyone. 22:22
Can you imagine if they brought back the OG cards on here?! You could have Base set, Jungle and Fossil as the 3 different pack options to start. Then go Rocket, Challenge and Heroes etc. Us old kids could finally get a chance to play with the Pokémon cards we collected as kids how they were intended to be played
It’s fun to see all sorts of people enjoying the same game. I always like that Pokemon cards can come in mixed rarities. Hopefully I will be able to trade 3 star or crown rare cards for competitive cards at a lower rarity.
The cool thing is, if you scroll all the way around, you can find rare packs, which generate backward, and I was so sad when the one next to his pack on the first mewtwo one was a rare pack and he missed it! Always check every pack folks. (Rare packs have higher pull rates BTW)
It’s actually been proven already that all the 10 packs you choose from have the same set of cards pre-determined, so unfortunately it doesn’t matter which one you choose which kinda sucks…
This game has absolutely blown me away.. I literally started this hobby not even a week ago haha.. I gotta say it's a great time to get into pokemon, I'm having so much fun! This app has me absolutely hooked 😭

As long as you're battling and logging in each day you get plenty of free packs and hourglasses to open packs. It obviously doesn't quite scratch the itch of ripping physical cards but the cards are some of the nicest cards I've ever seen. If they made a paper version of Genetic Apex I would go broke.
As primarily a collector, I'm enjoying the experience of this app. Got to level 11 on the first day! Expect the pace to slow down significantly after the first few days. I also like the 'lite' battle experience too. GREAT for kids (as long as you can prevent in-app purchases).
I haven’t spent a single penny on this game. Just by opening packs daily, from doing missions, battles, using those hourglasses, ive gotten some good, good cards. Even some rare ones. So, no one has to spend money on it, if they are just patient enough to enjoy the game :)
I love the game. I love collecting the cards and being able to battle my friends. Opening packs and then showing the screen to a friend is amazing. TRADING COMING SOON TOO!
Ran through all of the solo battles (now going back to make sure I finish every challenge) and done a few vs battles. Opened only around 30 packs. Way better than I thought it would be as a whole! Looking forward to trading too.
This game actually got me battling and I’ve never tried card battles in my life. Very user friendly.
It really is! I was nervous going into it because I didn’t think I’d be good at the battling but it’s actually pretty easy to understand
Totally agree. I was surprised how user friendly it was.
A lot more fun than I expected
Just saying o have got a god pack but what makes me mad is that I got 2 meowth full arts in the pack and the rest were random full arts
Yea, battling is way funner than I expected

Pokerev: yes
so your saying people like this are like talking to brick walls? ok fair enough
@ no I was simply making a comment on the fact that in order to make this video Pokerev must have spent an incredible amount on micro transactions

The gameplay in TCG pocket is more simplified than the actual card game tho, but it is quite similar
