Anne of a Green gables is a famous old book a lot of school kids in America is familiar with it or the tv show. I know when growing up I watched it around elementary school. What's funny is its based in Canada where Keeho is from. I would've thought he heard of it. You are right Jiung has a disadvantage but did good despite him not being a native english speaker. I also have a feeling Game of Thrones is probably called something different in Koren.
