Pirates of the Caribbean - Martin’s 2021 Ultimate Tribute part one - Anaheim

- The first of a five part series looking in detail at each Pirates of the Caribbean attractions worldwide. Like my Big Thunder Mountain series I’m aiming to show the similarities and differences between each.
Starting with Walt’s idea for a walk through waxwork exhibit, see how the project developed into the lavish ride through. See how the attraction was designed and built, how it’s laid out, and major changes over the years. Next take a shot in 4K, full multi angle trip into, through, and out of the ride. After exiting take a look inside the Blue Bayou restaurant and as a bonus a tour of New Orleans Square. Audio is a source / clean live mix.
52 minutes long. - Розваги
One of the best aromas you'll ever smell in life exists the second you walk into that building from the queue. It just hits you.
Best Disney YT channel, hands down. Thank you for the many many years of videos.
Possibly the best Disney fan on UA-cam….and Vimeo
Phenomenal video!!!! Rare photos, too! I went on it in 1966 as a ten yr. old kid, thinking it was a gentle ride like Small World. It would change my life!! Thank you again, Martin. You have preserved the spirit of the original Imagineering of the day. My great pals (since passed away) David Mumford and Bruce Gordon would have loved this!!! Keep up the great work!!
It did not open until 1967.
It is gentle. Except the drops
Thank you Martin!!! Awesome video!!
Yes!!! Happy Saturday!! New Martin video!! Can't wait to watch over and over and over.....
Another great video 👍👍👍
Best produced and most enjoyable park history channel. Your choices In direction and editing are excellent. It is clear this is a labor of love and is greatly appreciated by those of us who recognize effort and value as the parks used to have in spades.
I especially love the text as opposed to narration, I can put his vids on in the background and have a nice soundtrack to listen to or I can sit down and learn about the ride
Every video from you is an event Martin! Been a follower for years and always look forward to your in-depth tributes. Keep up the great work!!
10:19 - 13:26 was the best 3 min of my day! Your videos are LEGENDARY.
Spectacular video Martin! You literally have THE best library of historic Disney attractions on UA-cam. This is another killer addition. I love this!
Fantastic as always
Amazing video!! 😃
Interesting to see the Grand Opening with pirates aboard the Columbia--most folks have never seen that until they were added with Peter Pan and now Jack Sparrow & Co. for "Fantasmic!" Also enjoyed the pirates breaking down the door entrance.
FYI, when they re-designed the entrance with the bridge and added line areas the Disney PR people put out an announcement of it with typical themed style. It said that "Those rambunctious pirates.." had let a cannonball get away from them and it burst OUT the front of the ride and blew a big HOLE in the street, and at that point Disneyland decided to take advantage of the excavation by building the new crowd-diverting entrance!"
I had no idea about that. Where did you hear that.
@@disneyboy3030 I used to get the press releases when I wrote/edited food/wine/travel/spirits stuff.

Very well done!
Can't wait for the magic kingdom version
This video is a work of art. Thank you so much.
Great video as always Martin!!
What a wonderful video of my favorite Disneyland attraction. My first trip through the POTC was in 1969 (I was 8) and it changed my young mind. One thing I really like here is how you explained the location of the drops, and where things are located in a 3d way. Your video is chock full of memories for me. I can't wait for the next part.
Ahoy there, Martin. Another great start to a series all about one of my favorite Disney Rides ever!!! (You've earned a new Subscriber for this Matey)
Martin, I appreciate all of the hard work and creativity you put into your videos, ESPECIALLY this one! You didn't just feature the ride and it's backstory, you awesomely went the extra mile, created that awesome ride layout map, and I'm ESPECIALLY digging the multi angle camera view and the enhanced surround sound audio mix you have blessed our ears with! I LOVE IT!! I love every intricate detail about this video-- the way you captured this ride is highly comparable to being there in person. You even captured how in the "Be Brave Carlos" and Auction scenes we can hear the audio repeat after we passed it. The way you presented everything in this video is awesome. I absolutely felt like I was on the ride and I've not seen it in person since I left California 7 years ago. (Where did you find the source audio?? -- all of the voiceovers are clear and beautifully understandable!) I'm so excited and looking forward to seeing the next PotC videos you've got for us, ESPECIALLY the Shanghai version! BRAVO!!!
Wonderful. Great detail and love was put into this video.
This is so nicely done. Bravo! Love it.
when I when to disneyland for the first time this was my second favorite ride there
Very informative, and I was amazed to see some "new" images of the construction I'd never seen before. You must have scoured the Disney Gallery and spent a lot of money on history books haha.
Jack’s head never turns as much anymore.
I never herd this version of the theme song before.
This was the original demo version of the song.
Great video. I just remembered the new Redd scene. I have no problem with changing the scene but the dialogue is a bit cringeworthy
What is part 2 even going to be about? Oh wait, all of the Pirates rides. Nice!
I’ve been on this one!
Hey Martin, where did you find that version of Davy Jones organ music without the ride dialogue?
How did you get the Davy Jones Organ music?
Search Pirates of the Caribbean lift 2017 instrumental soundtrack
31:37 I can’t find those ghost dialogues anywhere! Can you help me?
You mean “The” instead of “he” before “first”?
Great video as always Martin. I for one don’t care for the changes over the past twenty years to the ride (Magic Kingdom) as well as adding Jack Sparrow. Never understood what he mumbles at the end of the ride until I saw this video!
One of the main reasons why I want to visit Disneyland someday: I've only ridden the cliff notes version Orlando got.
You are truly missing a masterpiece then. I didn't know until I went to Disneyland how much more elaborate and authentic the original one is. I can't imagine what it was like to have a runaway imagination and get by with it back then. Cost be damned, it is going to be BIG... HUGE. And it was and still is. The ride back up the waterfall is one of the best parts!
@@justimagine2403 On the flip side, when I was 4 I rode the og Imagination ride, so that’s gotta compensate somewhat
Nothing in the last 53 years has surpassed this dark ride in terms of narrative, atmosphere and immersion. It must have blown people's minds back then.
It's only been diminished since then with projector screens, woke changes and movie tie-ins.
The movie tie-in references already feel really outdated, while everything else related to the original ride remain as timeless and charming as ever. I hope that someday all of the changes are reverted and we get the classic ride back as it was originally intended.
