Tesla’s to me are just a novelty for a few weeks then wear off and get boring as it’s got no personality/ feeling and doesn’t deliver that ‘WOW’ driving experience 🤷♂️

Alex, whatever you do, don't charge it to 100% everytime it is on charge as it will ruin the battery. Charge it to about 90% instead.

It’s a fact that Alex knows the national speed limit for the UK and is clearly undertaking cars on a motorway where you can only drive 70MPH (If there isn’t a pre existing speed limit). The reasons why we petrolheads still prefer petrol cars simply because of that sound and "feel" you get when driving a petrol, espically a classic. But yeah I wouldn't mind a telsa as a daily and a petrol classic car as a weekend or summer car 😎

you have the sentry mode which records everything in the car. You can buy Teslamat wich is the coolest thing ever. you can buy a proper floor to the back seats so you can take your dog everywhere without getting the seats dirty
If you’ve leased that model 3 through your company - great choice 👌🏼 makes perfect sense. I’m tempted to do the same as a daily for the all round benefits.
That said, I’d still want my personal BMW for fun. Straight line acceleration is one thing and the Tesla would probably beat most cars to 60 but I’ve yet to experience any emotion or theatre from an electric vehicle. I’m a bit older than you so that maybe the slight difference but growing up that is what impressed me and mattered most about cars, how they make you feel and not their stats. 🤷🏻♂️ I have made peace with the idea that one day electric will be the only widely available option, until then I’m clinging on to the original too 😆
Elétrica cars in the long run don’t save the planet, only on the short tern they are great, but it’s ecological print is as big as a diesel car if not worse, cause of the lithium battery
Just get a seat protector and harness for the back seat like most people do, dogs don't belong in the boot.
You can get a cover for the rear seats so atlas can sit in the back

alex, the two charger cables is basically the one with the two holes can charge t a faster rate and with regards to the price of charging they used to be free for earlier model but with the superchargers it charges your app which charges the card attatched to said app
I think you should enjoy petrol vehicles while you can. Tesla is cool and all but pretty soon that's all we'll be able to drive.

Very cool! Although, I'm really curious, how do you feel about the build quality vs BMW? This is the one thing that kind of puts me off the thought of wanting to go for a Tesla when the time comes. At the moment I'm looking at the G20 3 series (preferably a 330e depending on circumstances over the next couple years).
Exactly what I thought until I test drove one mate! I had a new M135i revision on a 69 plate and traded it in for a Model 3 Performance! I’ll never look back now, Tesla has had build quality issues but their customer service has been top notch with me so can’t fault them! I loved my performance BMW’s but I love my Tesla more and the mind blowing performance! You won’t regret it!

I would keep the Defender. You should see how the Tesla does for long trips, and charging locations along your drive, before making the decision to get rid of the defender. You don't need to be in any hurry. Take the time to be sure that the Tesla's range is going to be good for the long trips that you may make. I saw a video where someone took a long trip and the time to get there doubled because of the charging time and having to drive out of the way to find a charger. I don't remember who made the video or exactly how long ago it was made, but it still makes me wonder about not having a gasoline car for those times when long trips are necessary and you may want to avoid adding an extra 8 hours or so to the drive time. With a Tesla and super charging it may be better (I don't know what car the video I saw was using) and the US and UK may have a different network of charger locations. Bottom line is that I would wait at least a few months before getting rid of the Defender. You also have to consider what "iitz Peaches" mentioned below, how will you carry your ladders and other equipment for your internet business?
