Wish Story: Wyatt's Koi Pond

At just five years old, wish kid Wyatt has already been through a lot, battling bone marrow failure and undergoing a lifesaving transplant, all while still in preschool. Already an avid outdoors enthusiast, Wyatt wished for a koi pond, just like the one he used to enjoy with his Grandpa.
Not one to sit on the sidelines, Wyatt soon joined the work crew and "jumped in" to help install the pond. The end result is a special gathering place that he and his family will enjoy for years to come.

I thought Make-A-Wish wasn't allowed to grant wishes for live animals/pets?

Make a wish does grant pet and animal wishes. Many kids get puppies and horses from make a wish. Many kids also get to visit zoos and aquariums from make wish. So they do grant pet wishes. One girl got a kitten and one girl got a mini cow. They are able to do it.
