Yes indeed, he was a singer and considered to be one of the greatest baritones of his time. He was also a very good actor. Please visit his UA-cam channel to view other videos. Vera Goulet
Thank you so much for posting this song! I still remember the first time I heard it on the radio; I believe the year was 1965. I loved the song immediately. Finally, there was a hit song by a genuine, classically trained baritone that I could listen to and enjoy and on a pop radio station, no less! I was thrilled when he recorded two albums of Broadway musical hits and Christmas music and purchased them on vinyl LPs. I have since acquired them on CDs. I am particularly fond of his rendition of "What Kind of Fool Am I" and "If I Ruled the World," in which he hits and sustains a natural E in full voice, but for sentimental reasons, "Amore Scusami" will always be my favorite. His role as Sir Lancelot in "Camelot" was his debut in musical theater, but "Amore Scusami" introduced him to a wider audience, an audience of which I was a part. Once again, I thank you for sharing it!
+ROBERT GOULET THE MAN AND HIS LEGACY ...I can hardly believe there aren't several hundred thousands to have listened here. Your husband's voice was incredible! A once in a generation talent. My folks were big fans and my brothers and sisters and I grew up with Robert spinning on the hi-fi. I especially loved this tune (still do of course). His Christmas songs were wonderful too, and every time I hear his voice I am reminded of Christmas. Thanks and God Bless
I agree with Richard, this hit and "What Kind Of Fool Am I" and of course "If Ever I Would Leave You" were the best. :) Just wondering what this particular clip was performed on or at?
He loved an audience. It sounds even better than the recording, and that was a big hit! Thanks for sharing.
One of the Greats.... Great post!!
Gorgeous!
Una belle canzone piu importanti della mia vita. Emozionante, é una poesia.Robert Goulet, splendida la voce.
Congratulazioni da Brazil.
I noticed that he doesn't usually go for a crowning high note at the end. Actually no one really misses it. Many singers just show off. He doesn't.
Picked this up from episode of Preacher!! I'm blown away had no idea he was a singer and a superb one at that! Thank you so much 😀

I always adored this song...thank you so much for this live performance by Mr Goulet..
Listen carefully and you'll notice that he is always in control, appearing to be, but not really belting.
Am I the only one brought here by fear and loathing?
+benjamin franklin You are hilarious. II laughed my "assets" off.

Marvellous voice - one great song too: is there a version just in Italian?
