Hi, there were many all female hard rock and metal bands i Japan before Babymetal in Japan including Alious and Saki's other band 'Mary's Blood', Destrose etc.
Loving all the well deserved Nemophila attention - they are superb. As far as other newer J-Metal bands go, Hanabie have made a statement too, probably time you checked them out.
For sure that's a great cover and no doubt a tribute to our Kawaii metal Queens BABYMETAL🦊, I've not really enjoyed any other Japanese Rock /metal bands other than BABYMETAL until i discovered these girls, and now I'm sold 💯 % Nemophila are true rock goddesses in the making, give me the full length album, concert dvds, tshirts, in fact, just take my money 🤑🤑😂👌
Nemophila have only been together less than TWO years; and they only dropped their first original in 2020. Fully agree, they could be the next huge thing.
These are going all the way and they are super nice with it as well and its only about 20 months as a band most of it covid time 8 track cd available to pre order put out by JPU records UK
Great cover of BabyMetal. I know some members are BabyMetal super fans. Nothing but respect to these ladies. Talent and beautiful. I’m sure Su & Moa loved this. Just imagine Nemophilia went with a BabyMetal world tour.
Babymetal took Japanese metal international in a way old bands like Dir En Grey, X Japan, or Show Ya! never could. Now the gates are open and these bands are pouring out for the rest of us. EDIT: It's also important to note that all the Babymetal gear belongs to Saki. She basically kills guitar solos and collects Babymetal gear.
Saki is the major Babymetal fan and all of the "Decorations" are from her collection. That stuff ain't Cheap!! No, Babymetal did not start the Female Rock/Metal band genre in Japan. What Babymetal did was to open up the door for Japanese female bands to play/tour in the west. Checkout their cover of X Japan (Eng Ver).
Just Announced. Nemophila will be streaming a concert online "Soko to Koko" on 6/19 (Sat.) This one will actually be prerecorded so they can interact during the stream, also they said so the quality will be better (I have seen all their online concerts and its great with an occasional issue sometimes their sound guys mess up). Remember, If you cant watch it on that day, you can watch it as many times as you want for 3 days after. Tickets on go on sale 5/28! l-tike.com/concert/mevent/?mid=552827
Great reaction as always guys. Your in Orlando, Hollywood J, well greetings from Saint Cloud. I still don't understand why people bash you guys for talking to much that's what a reaction channel is for atleast you're keeping it honest and that's all I can ask for. Kitsune's up 🤘🦊🤘
Nothing against Babymetal, 'cos they're brilliant, but half the members of the bands you mentioned originally played in Destrose, who predated Babymetal by 5 years. Saki (the massive Babymetal fan in Nemophila) started out in Destrose, but is most famous as Mary's Blood's lead guitar player. They also formed before Babymetal. She was known as a shred goddess before anyone had ever heard of Babymetal. The all-female and female-fronted heavy metal scene in Japan is over 40 years old. Babymetal went viral in the West around 2014, so they're the most popular Japanese band outside of Japan, but they're still relative newbies in the grand scheme of things.
SAKI is a huge BABYMETAL fan, you can see her wear BABYMETAL shirts in several videos :) Edit: oh, I saw it was mentioned already....but it's worth repeating :D
Not sure what "hate" you are expecting. From Babymetal fans? Nemophila fans? I'm confused. But you do need to get your history straight. Girl metal goes back to 1981, with Show-Ya. There have been a lot of serious all-women metal bands before Babymetal--Aldious, Destrose, Cyntia, existTtrace, Bridear, etc. Not to knock Babymetal--I'm a big fan. They have been a huge door-opener for the newer bands, but they were not first.
You guys are always talking about haters in your videos, it’s getting boring. A lot of us love BAND-MAID, NEMOPHILA, Babymetal, MTH… Babymetal helped to open the doors to international audiences for the Japanese rock/metal scene but there are many great Japanese bands before them which have drawn the shape of the actual scene

And all of them can look to bands like Show Ya, formed 1981. Female rock/metal, at least in Japan, is not a new thing.
Aldious have a current new MV out too - Show Down. It's different to everything else they have done but that's the beauty of Aldious.
@@mbolden1 Also Shonen Knife, formed around the same time.
the guitarist (Saki) beside vocal , she's big fans of Babymetal .

When Murata is in the doublekicks she is always smiling. So fun to watch.
Very love this cover
They first performed this during their first online live concert last year.

LOL, did you just called SAKI old? xD she's not even 30
@@BaphoRez you read that wrong, not "old" but a "shred goddess" :P
@@NewAeonWarlord gods are ancient by definition.. 😜
@@BaphoRez yes, but timeless, so not "old" ;)

Tamu is a killer as Aruna and Akane !
Mayu's like the Japanese Medusa - except her smile turns grown men to Jell-o. 😉

And they write their material, and play their instruments. The Kami Band does that for Babymetal.
