AskMandR: I agree that price per piece isn’t always a good indicator of value because of the varying sizes of pieces. Why don’t we use weight, as in price per Oz or Lb. I think this would make it a lot easier in comparing the value of sets.
Plus that 10 cent rule has not included inflation, just since 2016 when I found out about that rule it should’ve gone up to 12.5 cents per piece

Hey Ryan! I have started high school and it has been hard finding people who are into Star Wars and Lego. People can be pretty mean when it comes to me liking these types of things. I assume you went through a similar thing, how did you deal with it?
No way, I just got into high school as well and get made fun of for liking Lego. I just still grind out builds and yt videos and don't listen to the hate. My best advice is to just ignore others and do what you like. Other people may just feel insecure about their hobbies and they just make fun of you to make themselves feel better. Btw, my name is also Christian.

I've probably been watching for 3-4 years now and you really helped me get out of my dark age, giving me the confidence to get back into Lego SW. Being around the same age as you it was a big deal. Ask M&R: What do you think LEGO’s reasoning was for making a 501st specialist battle pack rather than a 212th battle pack? Do you think it’s because they wanted to have troopers that actually use the new helmet holes or because they wanted to keep the 212th unique to the AT-TE? I think it’s the helmet holes.

I’ll go the other route: LEGO believes the 501st money roll would come in hard with a 501st part 2 electric boogaloo specialist. Let’s be honest there wasn’t hype for the 212th troopers but solely for Cody. I would have preferred the 212th battle pack to add to my clone army cuz specialists are meh to me
The Jedi T-6 shuttle was definitely one of my favorite clone wars sets. Getting Shak-ti was definitely an added bonus.

It ended up being 75 Inches long and way bigger than I thought, barely fitting where I wanted to put it, how big are the banners you own, and have you ever entertained the idea of hanging them in your room or just waiting to hang them in your house?

Plants are a thing people normally have around a house, dishes of food? Not so much, They’ve been making lots of sets based off normal decorative items, this would be far out of their norm.

AskM&R: In my Lego room I am starting to run out of shelf space, I don’t want to take them all apart because I may want to reshuffle sets around in the future, is there a good way to store sets at least partly intact?
Bought 4 in total, might buy just 1 of the new specialists battle packs and would be intrigued to see if the new minifigure packs would be clone wars era, or maybe two 212th trooper plus an airborne 'commander' 212th trooper and crab droid?

Will LEGO ever fix the printing on minifigures (especially with light skin tone prints on top of dark head/torso pieces? Or is this a trashy thing we have to embrace? I've been disappointed about the quality of prints that we've had the last 4 years.

Honestly, I think if you like it you like it and you should get it, regardless of the controversy. At the end of the day, it was just some high-ranking LEGO professionals being ignorant. It didn't have any severe moral implications.

AskMandr: Have you watched The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power? If so what are your thoughts on the series and do you think it has set potential?
I feel like a lot of how you think about playmobil will depend on your preexisting relationship to it or lack thereof. From what I’ve read, it sells quite well in Europe but simply hasn’t had distribution as consistently far reaching into the States and other parts of the world as lego. It’s true that it’s not the same as lego, but you also often get a better value. For instance, a large lego pirate ship may cost $150, and you can rebuild it but four or more of the pieces are large hull elements, and most kids just want a ship anyway. Playmobil will give you a bigger ship with more figures and accessories for half the price sure, most of it can’t be rebuilt, but for many kids that is a plus. As a child myself, I had a huge playmobil castle and a pirate ship, as well as a pirate island. All of these were big enough that to have lego sets that comprised the combined mass of these toys would have costed $800+ easily. Now, I’m not saying cheaper is always better, but these are high quality toys and there is a good degree of rebuilding that can be done to the buildings. In fact, Jangbricks has or had a playmobil channel! He at one point was building a playmobil city. It’s in between lego and standard action figures, and it offers a great value to parents of young kids and to adults who are still interested. I hope this didn’t come off as a rant, just a thought.
For the coloured figures you could use them as statues (mainly the grey ones if they exist)

Not Ryan but I feel that as long as they have bulk tables they will always be around. That's the main appeal of those places. Obviously there's the pick a brick walls at lego stores but they're not as massive and don't have any older parts that are out of production. It's just cheaper and more convenient to dig through those tables than to try and order all the parts you need online. Obviously you can get figs and sets cheaper online but the tables are a niche thing that keeps those places in business. I say this as someone who works at the original Bricks & Minifigs though so I'm kinda biased.
Ask M&R: hey M&R I recently found a light up luminara figure at a thrift store for 2 bucks and I wanted to know if you were a fan of the light up figures and if so would you bring them back?
That 200 dollar hulkbuster is goated. One my favorite display pieces in my collection. And the hulkbuster looks like a toddler or like it skipped leg day.
For my displays I want to have all my MOC's that are sizeable vehicles. No dioramas or buildings unless they are all in one place and is good enough for display. At least until I move to the new house and set up all the shelves I bought.
Ask MandR: If you believed Lego Star Wars might never release a particular set or ship, do you pursue a brickvault or Republic Bricks ship, or some other type of MOC seller? Or do you attempt to make your own MOC? Or do you keep dreaming Lego might make it someday while your shelf and heart sit empty? for me the problem with the hulkbuster isnt its price, its the fact its the hulkbuster. its a set that appeared in 2 movies (sure, 2 big movies but still only two) and isnt in the top of the most requested marvel UCS sets, if they made an avengers tower for 550 dollars (similiar to daily bugle, just bigger and more minifigs?) it would sell much better.

I bought this set when it was on sale at my Walmart in Canada when it came out, I bought like 3-4 of them love this battle pack
The opposite happened to me. My parents take good care of my lego while i’m out of state, but this last summer my place in AZ got broken into, squatted on, and robbed while i was back home in TX. they took a ton of my lego, including 5 501st battle packs i had for my army. LUCKILY i brought my minifig collection w me 🥲

LEGO needs to make some up to date phase II 327th clone troopers! For now I’m just getting by doubling my clone commanders as 327th troopers, because all anyone remembers is a clone with yellow markings… *sigh*
